“It’s with a pride filled, yet heavy, heart that Schrödinger’s Box bid a welcoming return to the uncrowned King of Acid, Andreas Gehm. After Cosmic Interrail come four tracks of acid scorn, corrosive jack and twisted spite. Under his own name, and the time honoured mantle of Elec Pt 1, Cologne’s 303 contortionist serves three works dripping in bitter bars and skewered by claps and snares. “Captain Future” sits outside of the quartet, a carnival outake of whirling lights and crashing cymbals. Pure quality from the Acid King.”

Andreas Gehm – The Worst Of Gehm [SOM041]
“Solar One Music is proud to announce this special record. Andreas left us suddenly at June 20th in 2016 after long health problems. Around that time we finished with him “The Worst Of Gehm” release. He was so happy about this project!!! Even one week later we got the terrible message that he died. We put alot of love and effort in this project to give him his last big monument! Special thanks to all his friends and labels like Mathematics Recordings, Abstract Acid, Creme Organization, Psycho Thrill and of course Bunker. RIP in Andreas! We will never forget you!”

Jared Wilson – Ghost Miners Remixes [7777011]
“For the 11th release 7777 presents the Ghost Miners Remixes. For these remixes I offered each producer samples from different songs from the 2 Ghost Miners records. Instead of doing straight forward remixes of a single song, I put forth the proposal for each artist to make their own version of a Ghost Miners song from scratch or using any samples they feel like. Contributors include 3 of my favorite producers. 2 in demand artists; FIT Siegel and Andreas Gehm and one new comer; Brian Thrash. Andreas Gehm’s version is a standard acid Gehm gem. Calling in the chords from the originals mixed with standard Gehm acid brilliance. In FIT Siegel’s version you’ll find the perfect pure underground dance sound. Featuring Ray-7 on hand drums FIT constructs a remix that combines elements of classic Detroit and Chicago sound while keeping the attitude and acid aesthetic of the original material. On the B side Brian Thrash, controlling his analogue arsenal, takes you on an epic acid journey traversing through the underground and space.” Jared Wilson

VA – Universe [MSQ001]
Mosaique is an electronic music label based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, founded by Moralez and Murzin. MSQ 001 mysteriously divided into bright and dark sides of the universe. On the A-side (the bright one) you will find intergalactic jack groove represented by Contra Communem Opionem aka CCO (Zurich) and made acid trip together with the cosmic rider Andreas Gehm (Cologne). the dark B-side accepts the challenge from imperfect planet’s chastener Umwelt (Lyon) and a major black hole instigator Moralez (St. Petersburg).
Andreas Gehm – Yellow Flower [BM005]
Andreas Gehm is known for his fierce, unapologetic acid style. But the Cologne man does have a more mellow side, a smoother side, and that’s what this three tracker is. Of course, smooth Gehm still has some rough edges. “Yellow Flowers” combines thick pads, skittering beats, warming samples and frigid bars in an intoxicating brew. Malice and menace rear their ashen faces for the evil machinations of “Late At Night”, muffled vocals and sharpened snares glinting in the streetlights. Safety arrives in the form of the aptly titled “Less Violence.” Rhythms are still rough edged, melodies still have an underhanded element. Yet there is a subdued humanity in the sweetened strings, emotion coming to a head as the needle runs out.

Andreas Gehm – Cosmic Interrail Vol.1 [SBOX001]
Who better to inaugurate your label than Andreas Gehm? Simple, no-one. Glasgow’s Schrodinger’s Cat is sinking claws and teeth into vinyl with five tracks of blistering TB303 goodness from the Cologne man. Mr Gehm is in fine form as he serves up a quintet of very different cuts. From the warbling wonderment of “Blind Eyes” to squawking darkness of “Jak the Floor”, this EP shows how talented this machine musician is. “Can You Hear Me Girl” is jilted lover, stalker house; beady eyes peering into misted windows material. The Elec Pt 1 hood is donned for the dirtiest track of the 12″. Grimy claps are further polluted by bending acid lines in a work overflowing with violence. Out of the leftfield comes the finale. “Systems Go” throbs with rumbling rhythms, a bleeped melody keeping time as drum machines overheat and circuitry melts.
