Tracing Xircles – Air Lock [BLUEHOUR015]

TRACING XIRCLES - Air Lock

Tracing Xircles return to base after debuting ‘Gaia’s Requiem’ back in 2017. During that period the duo contributed to Air Texture VI curated by Steffi & Martyn and have been quietly readying their new record ‘Air Lock’. The 4 track EP develops their signature sound palette into new territory with references to timeless UK & Detroit flavours, sealing the record with a retro futuristic collage of ambient techno and timeless electronica.

Blue Hour – Blue Hour Remixed 2 [BLUEHOURMX002]

The second edition of Blue Hour’s ‘Remixed’ series features four distinctly diverse cuts. Mark Broom delivers a peak time take of ‘Common Ground’, followed by Substance’s (AKA DJ Pete) dub driven remix of the untitled hidden ambient track which appeared on ‘Reference 97’. On the flip Hessle Audio’s Pangaea re-captures the jacking and functional energy of ‘Falling Lines’, then closing the EP is a raw and dreamy electro workout of ‘Introspective II’ from VC-118A.

Blue Hour – Blue Hour Remixed 1 [BLUEHOURMX001]

Blue Hour’s self-titled outlet launches a new remix series. Answer Code Request applies the driving hybrid techno-bass approach that has made him one of Berghain’s brightest stars to Blue Hour 002 title cut Axis Motive; Paris-based Tresor resident Marcelus offers an ethereal take that focuses on Blue Hour 003’s Reference 97’s more hypnotic elements; and Ostgut Ton’s Steffi is perfectly matched to the third EP’s Moments, employing her signature sound that similarly offers a timeless anthemic quality to the original…
