For its sixth release, the Madrid-based label N2MU presents an eight-track Various Artists compilation featuring Ivna Ji, Teslasonic, and Larionov among others. A gathering of renowned artists able to convey a homogeneous music message without losing sight of their creative individual characters. As in the latest N2MU release, Xergio Córdoba (Eternal Midnight Mastering Studio) has been in charge of mastering duties, while the Galician visual artist, Plástica, has created the artwork for the project.
“Suburban Tales 1 was born as a VA dedicated to push local talents: it was our intimate dedication to Milan, the city which raised us, made us know each other, forged our sound. Before this worldwide emergency we were already planning the sequel, but this peculiar situation drove us to extend it both to Italian and international friends and affiliates. A powerful project was born to finance the “Fondo San Giuseppe”, a fund instituted by Comune di Milano, to support the people who lost their job during this struggle which sees Milan as one of the cities that had been hit most by the virus. We will devolve the entire revenue to this association.”
In The Dark Again 11 brings together 5 great tracks. Coming in third on the A Side is a fascinating sinister baseline with a hypnotic build-up titled – Electronic Humming’, produced by Pablo Dissko (born in Greece, living in Amsterdam). The B-side keeps it rolling with Greek artist KSTS’ wicked Electro on his vocoder-driven tune: – Three Hundred Dark Times’. Closing out the collection is Alavux (born in Serbia, living in Macedonia), another true Electro master delivering a banger called – Bender’, that leaves absolutely no questions.
