Parassela is the studio and live project of Blawan and The Analogue Cops. The project lands on Restoration, featuring the appearance of Pariah on track A1, a crossover monster of techno and garage. Getting darker, A2 is an unfriendly radio-activity with a gloomy chicagoid reminiscence. Side B displays two dystopic cuts of massive sci-fi acidic techno. There are no titles for the tracks, just insurgent grooves, by men and machines, coming from magnetic tapes.
Lucy makes a return to Curle with Finnegan, a 12″ release made all the more intriguing by the presence of two Pariah remixes. “Finnegan” is a prime example of Mortellaro’s trade, lurching forebodingly through the dark recesses of chugging, industrial techno for nearly eight minutes. Pariah’s two remixes retain the dubby aesthetic while transplanting the track into more relentless, driving territory. The Dub mix is markedly harder in execution, sounding like a halfway point between his solo productions and his techno-focused Karenn project with Blawan.
‘Works The Long Nights’ is the brand new label from Blawan and Pariah, two artists who are constantly pushing the boundaries of techno and bass music. The first release comes from their collaborative project ‘Karenn’ and it consists of two solid techno tracks.
