It’s not every day we see a new release from John Beltran’s alias Indio. With releases previously only on Transmat and Rhytmic Tech some 10 and 20 years ago, Detroit Dancer presents his new EP called Phoenix. Phoenix is a full on Detroit dance floor belter with warm strings and comes with strong remixes from E.R.P. and Stryke.

John Shima with 4 tracks of deep & warm Detroit vibes. He’s in fine form on this surprise outing for Subwax’s Excursions series, effortlessly moving between the emotive, melodic bliss of “Evergreen”, where lilting lead lines spar with dreamy chords and a hybrid electro/deep sci-fi techno groove, the poignant, pitched-down deep electro beauty of “Moodswing”, the deep space breakdowns and tactile chords of “Space Cadet”, and the intergalactic electrofunk haziness of enveloping closing cut “Street Soul”.

Reedale Rise here with a strong follow up to his much appreciated “Luminouse Air” album released earlier this year on Kondi Records. Forest Canopy EP has all the Reedale Rise trademarks of futuristic warm and souldful electro with a bit of a acidic twist.

Emotions Electric with the first Various EP for the label. Strong quality selection of deep soulful Detroit influenced techno tracks from some of the finest underground producers.

Subwax Black Label Series continues their mystical Slavic underground saga with this next Techno bomb 313 stylee.

Lost Trax drops the first release of 2017 on Subwax label “Emotions Electric”, 3 fiercesome Detroit tracks of the highest order.

Konstantinos Soublis, aka Fluxion, and Subwax Bcn have decided to pick up the banner and release Vibrant Forms III. It contains everything anyone could hope for and more: The massive, booming basses, the clicks and hisses, the atmospheric thunderstorms, the opium smoke-scented streaks of reverb, dub echoes and the warmth. Yes, above all else the warmth: Sometimes moist and dripping as in “Safe Harbour”, sometimes blisteringly dry as in “Variant”. It’s no easy task, giving cold, dead machines warm breaths. And no-one quite does it like Fluxion.

Dub techno legend Konstantinos Soublis aka Fluxion is back with another album, his first since 2014’s Broadwalk Tales on Echocord. Bipolar Defect is presented by Barcelona based label Subwax Bcn and is a further exploration of Soublis’ delay drenched, smoked out and chillingly glacial soundscapes that have earned him releases on a who’s who of the niche sub genre’s finest labels such as the legendary Chain Reaction and his own Vibrant Music imprint. Highlights include the signature sounds of “Multidirectional”, “Friction Pulse” and “Stream II” which sound like soundtracks for stoned and spiritual explorations through the Arctic, while there’s some immersive and drifting affairs like “Omnibus” and “Aviation” that’ll totally drown you in sound.

Two warm and deep analog Detroit & Chicago tracks… Word on the street is these were produced in the late eighties and never released before.

Hinode & Chris Mitchell join forces and deliver 4 tracks of pure underground analog techno & acid action.

Versatil EP with strong tracks by Amir Alexander / Hinode / Samuel Andr Madsen / Chris Mitchell. Special Record Store Day 2014 release.
