2024 Best Tracks part 10 (of 10)

More or less in a chronological order this is the last part of our favorite tracks from 2024.

Happy to see another romanian in the list, alongside Andrei Rusu from Khidja. This time is Andrew Red Hand from Iași with ‘Sound Of Depresion‘ released on Diffuse Reality Records.

Next is a great deep house remix by I:Cube for Jim Ka Ray.

Electric Language‘ by Takeshi Kouzuki is the second track comming from the Italian label Alley Version is our list. House music at its best from the Japanese legend.

Timothy “J” Fairplay was again in great form in 2024 releasing a lot of great music. ‘How Could You Think You’d Get Away With It?’ released on his own label Dungeon Module is his third tracks in this list.

With “Evil Fades In Echo” the Japanese dub melodica virtuoso Takafumi Noda aka Mystica Tribe meets up with Danny Wolfers aka Legowelt for an unique concoction of digital dub acid hall with raw lo-fi synth wave.

Again the Dutch master Legowelt with an outlandish electro-eargasm remix for the enigmatic producer pdqb on Synaptic Cliffs.

Words in a Void‘ released on Bordello a Parigi showcases the sound of Ruben Benabou’s Hyperstellar nom de plume, a sound that draws inspiration from sci-fi soundtracks and the warmer currents of electro. Tight terse drum patterns are the launchpad from which melodies sail and swoop, bittersweet strings and warbling pads bending and shifting above juddering basslines.

Legendary techno producer Gez Varley returns using his G-Man alias to present his masterfull production skills on Syncrophone Records. ‘Throw‘ is made for late night car journeys on European highways.

Transmission From Hydra’ comes from French producer Umwelt and it was released on a split EP with Parand on the New Flesh label.

Finally we are a the end of our list with track 100. James Baker brought his long-running ReKaB project to Andy Vaz and Alessandro Vaccaro’s long-running Yore imprint for the first time. ‘My Inspiration‘ has wrapping vintage drum machine beats and an angular, LFO-style bassline in unfeasibly spacey chords, bubbly electronics and woozy vocal samples.

Was fun compiling this 100 tracks from 2024 list. Hope you enjoy it also.
Looking forward for 2025.
