When we look up into the stars we see them as they were millions and in some cases billions of years ago. This fact intern gives way to the name of the collaboration, timeless sounds that fill your soul as they travel through the reaches of your mind via your eardrums. The self titled release features three deep tunes that extend the genre of deep house with groovy rhythms, plush chords, and a quintessential Chicago touch.

Helena Hauff returning to Actress’ Werkdiscs with a 5-track EP. In the producer’s own words: “Lex Tertia is a further exploration into the idea of grimy, sonically crushed, dysfunctional, insane stuff that kicks on where Actio Reactio left off.”

This time Hinode launch their satellite to Neptune, the eighth and farthest planet in the Solar System, in order to explore its dense atmosphere and raw uninhabited texture. Daniele Ciullini – Domestic Exile: Collected Works 82-86 [ELP009]
Hailing from Florence, Daniele Ciullini was part of the forward-thinking TRAX collective, whose pan european art/music collaboration network acted as a proto-social network decades in advance of the internet. This compilation collects Ciullini’s self released ‘Domestic Exile’ cassette (1983) as well as selections from a series of other compilations(1982 to 1986).

Philippe Laurent / Xeno & Oaklander – Exposition 3 [GIR001]
Girouette Records presents tracks selected from the early works of the French Electronic music pioneer Philippe Laurent. “Exposition 3” and “Rapide 1”, these two gems from 1982 are out for the very first time on vinyl, after being remastered from the original tapes by the talented label Minimal Wave. The major cold wave New Yorker duet Xeno & Oaklander brings a second heart to this record, with a wild and breathless cover version of “Exposition 3” taking us with a night driving analogue bass and a surgical eight o’ eight beat to intriguing cinematographic landscapes.

This is the first time this record has ever been re-pressed since it’s original release surprisingly with prices on-line often being at the higher end of the scale for used copies.
Cosmjn – Drops [FRAGIL014]
Fragil Musique’s 14th release comes from Cosmjn, young and rising Romanian producer delivering a perfect and subtly crafted dancefloor outline. To elevate the gem even more, none other than Marcellus Pittman on the B side. Here, it’s all a matter of generous and appealing curves, for a deep and soft-spoken re arrangement that keeps true to the original.
Jacob Korn – EP2 [UV029]
After EP1 in summer 2014, Jacob Korn continues the series with the aptly titled “EP2”, a collection of tracks that underline Jacob’s talent to produce Dance Music with appeal for both the main floors as well as Deep House connoisseurs. On “Bingoparty” Jacob combines elegiac synths with powerful drumming. The reduced instrumentation and subtle progression will surely set dancers in a state of trance. “4 You” is not less moving with its catchy bass line, swirling synths and well matured vocals. On the flipside “Blue Hours” is a subtler but not less thrilling approach that indeed would be working perfectly as a tribute to the short timed period before sunrise. You can almost smell spring when listening to the track. Finally, “Patternwirtschaft (Drums)” aims at DJs who are looking for drum tools and like to have fun with a good ole’ Tom- and Clap-heavy tune.
Nubian Mindz – Ideas Of Music [AC006]
Anunnaki Cartel takes a different direction and continues to surprise supporters and evolve. Enlisting broken beat veteran Nubian Mindz for duties on AC006, they deliver what will prove to be yet another successful EP. Ideas of Music is the title for this musical excursion where broken elements and 4/4 kick flirt with each other to deliver an outstanding musical statement.
Gene Hunt – The Chi-Town Connection [BB007]
Richard Rogers’ Black Booby re-edits return with BB07, which sees Chi-town original and Ron Hardy protege Gene Hunt -a Black Booby veteran from BB04 – digging out more vintage DAT dopeness on the double-A-side; which features raw-as-hell analogue house workout ‘1015’(a take on the Dion & Tony track from his ‘Chicago Dance Tracks’ collection on Rush Hour back in 2011) alongside the very aptly-named (and appropriately drum-fuelled) ‘Dr Roland’. Meanwhile on the B-side you’ll hear UK house music OG Terry Farley sharing production duties with another 90s house veteran, Stuart ‘Stretch’ Silvester. ‘Play House’ (Original Mix) is a synth-heavy jacking houser with serious dancefloor intent; plus check out the ‘KKlassik Mix’ by another Chi-town don, K’Alexi Shelby, who chases the original headlong down a dark alley littered with emotive samples and thumping keys.
Andrew Red Hand – For My Mother [MOSDEEP023]
The Dutch label MOS starts another international affair for its MOS Deep offshoot: Romanian Andrew Red Hand. Andrew, who has been called the Romanian Underground Resistance, has a long history of DJing and making Detroit inspired techno and electro and across four tracks here, his analogue house with crisp drums and searing acid all burst out of the speakers and into your affections. ‘My Guarding Angel’ is manic and frantic at the same time as been emotionally sensitive thanks to the way cowbells and coarse claps are off set with rich, heart warming chords and teary eyed strings. ‘Never Be The Same’ is then a busy cut stuffed with arpeggiated bass, bright melodies, glassy chords and plenty of reflective surfaces. It’s a feast for your ears that really shines brightly. ‘Shattered Soul’ is another track awash with trilling glassy sounds, echoing melodies and oodles of atmospheric texture all married to hurried techno drums. Calm and serene yet forceful and energetic, that same duality is apparent in ‘Mourning My Mother’, a sombre cut with classic Chi town percussion and drums all weighted down by long tailed pads and poignant chords. This is music that works on head and heel in equal measure.
Lake Haze x IVVVO – #1 [CR1282]
Creme Organization turn to the mysterious IVVVO and Lisbon producer Lake Haze for a new single that comes backed with a remix from label regular Legowelt. The single ‘#1’ is a hard hitting but fuzzy, misty and hugely spacious house track with deep jacking drums, haunting synths spiralling all around and freaky voices buried deep within. Hugely atmospheric and lovably imperfect, it then gets remixed by Legowelt. His version of the track flips it on its head, strips back some of the white noise fuzz and reimagines it as a driving techno cut with impish chords, retro arps and high pressure stabs. It’s a peak time bomb and ensures that this release is a high impact one indeed.

Is the Truth out there? With “The Truth 2008 – 2013” anthology, Solar One Music presents a refine selection of some of The Exaltics greatest tracks from 2008-2013. Box Set , five years of a highly prolific career. This future classic retrospective gathers together the very best of the Jena located artist on labels such like Transient Force, Bunker, Clone or Last Known Trajectory just to name a few. Only a handful of talents succeeded to emerge from the shadows and raise up such enthusiasm the way The Exaltics did over the last 8 years. Widely regarded as one-to-follow since making his musical debut back in 2007, the co-founder of the Solar One Music label never stop transmitting to Earth warning signals, that would affect the whole human race. Stingray 313 / Mariska Neerman – Bleep43 EP002 [BLEEP43EP002 ]
Mutual fans Sherard Ingram and Mariska Neerman join forces to present four essential tracks spanning the breadth of contemporary electro on this second release from Bleep43 Recordings. The first side sees Ingram exploring the edges of his famously unique blend of intricate yet relentless electronics, simultaneously touching on Autechre’s metallic abstractions while sounding the depths of bubbling oceanic vents. Mariska answers with two tracks of melancholy machine music that embody her talent for melody and arrangement and promise to make their presence felt on dancefloors across the spectrum.
