Originally hailing from Japan but currently living Berlin, SJ Tequilla is known far and wide for his Teknobuskers project, a hardware DIY dance party hosted with friends and held regularly in ‘Max-Koch-Passage’, Berlin. The energy from these dance parties can be felt and lived through his latest ep, ‘GG Allien’. SJT’s skillful use of mind melting background tape textures and moody pads provide the encapsulating canvas for otherworldly acid lines, driving hardware percussion and enlightening melodies. EYA Records label has scored another big one here with this old-school House and Techno flavored EP by UK producer Tom Carruthers. Awanto3 (also known for his work with Aardvarck and Kid Sublime on Rednose Distrikt) returns to Rush Hour with “Party” Volume 1. Moody and rolling MPC work outs with live accompaniment from a solid cast (Jos De Haas (New Cool Collective) on percussion and Stefan Schmid (Zuco 103) on keys).

A wide selection of Oriental Turkish funk music for listening and dancing. The tracks are ranging from traditional Turkish Folk to funky belly dance sound and from electrified bouzouki beats to exotic fuzzy riffs. Mostly traditional tracks are taken from the zourna & hanging drum playing style that is practiced in this kind of music and in fact it usually plays at the weddings. Here played with the western instruments including bass guitar, hammond organ and drum set.

After releases curated by the masters Mick Wills and Intergalactic Gary, brokntoys presents the third and final installment in the Casting Shadows series with five tracks showcasing Maja Pa’s unique style. The EP opens with ‘A Perfect Day’ by Art Teachers, an excellent example of their distinct synth punk sound, providing the perfect introduction to the Veveo-verse. Next up is Vastechoses associate Brique Corps, who delivers the jagged body music of ‘Has Yo For All4,’. On the B-side, Czech duo Kontrajas contribute ‘Lunt,’ a circuit-breaker from their self-released Laguna EP. Label regular Rory McPike returns to his post-punk persona 2200 for the goth-infused Outlaw. The record concludes with Geoid Color Circle’s mournful ‘Adieu Trois Mort En Juin’, taken from their Six Sad World tape.

Hambourg’s electro duo Fallbeil composed by Wosto and Kluentah, is still pretty unknown despite they’ve been releasing a bunch of EP and a couple of LP on label like Mannequin, Killekill sub-label Boidae or New York Haunted and more recently on their own label Teerpappe to name a few. Macadam Mambo presents now a compilation of irresistible dark atmospheres slow electro tunes with very raw textures, complemented by few little skits to generate a brilliant album around the story of the Mockturtle.

Evocative and spooky contemporary prog. Meine U Teksi has absolutely nailed it to fetishist levels. It sounds like the synths were the only thing keeping the castle warm the night this was recorded. The whole record it’s made even more unnerving by the fact that the 4th track doesn’t exist.

Roman artist Heinrich Dressel delivers a sparkling gaze into the future with the glistening ‘Lambda 2077’. Dressel cultivates a cinematic, cerebral experience throughout each track, delicately weaving a visceral soundscape. Growling arps and magnetic, synthesised moans flows throughout this record. Francisco opens things up with an electro-tinged, thunderous remix. Building upon the chordal gravitas of the original, the remix provides the release with an acidic percussive journey.
