Berlin-based Post-Punk duo Her Absence Fill the World with the second release “Neon Arabesque” on Detriti Records. Her Absence Fill The World makes music that sounds simultaneously lost and chased. Inspired by their individual backgrounds in classical violin and techno, spanning Ankara to Berlin, their style blends together with a dark, melodic sound defined by a strongly reduced harmonic structure, a hovering voice, and synth leads. post-punk.com

Known for his work on Transient Force, Gigolo, and of course as a contributor for Fundamental’s Time Capsule a.k.a. 808 Box project, -=UHU=-‘s album is a selection of his best unreleased tracks. Compiled from an old folder full of tracks that have that twenty years old spirit in each of them, that futurist funk that -=UHU=- can deliver so well. ”Ezzential Electro” is the biggest project Electro Records has done so far. It consists of 36 vinyl records produced by artists they consider essential for the current underground electro movement.

Electro Records welcomes Mokotron por la puerta grande to the Ezzential Electro project, who is a great example of what the project stands for. In his own words: ”Mokotron is an exploration of what it means to be an Indigenous Maori person in urban spaces, combining elements of Electro and Bass music with my Indigenous language Te Reo Maori and traditional instruments and pre-European chants.” ”Ezzential Electro” is the biggest project Electro Records has done so far. The fourth release for this Brussels-based organization (Label Deviate records and Deviate parties) run by False Identity, featuring 4 cuts from Meshes, Magnus Opus, St. Theodore and Machino.

Over the years, Ed Upton has released an insanely large volume of records as DMX Krew, though his quality level as rarely dipped below “brilliant”. While many of these EPs and albums explore his love of electro, he’s not averse to exploring sci-fi techno, jacking house and throbbing Italo-disco. ‘Unhooked’, the track that opens his first 12″ of 2022, is deliciously dark and creepy, sitting somewhere between the lo-fi techno of L.I.E.S, the acid-fired rave-era insanity of Aphex Twin and bittersweet dancefloor melancholia. Elsewhere, he peppers a crispy breakbeat with ghostly chords and bubbly lead lines on ‘Orange Cat Print’, summons the spirit of the apocalypse on doom-laden acid-electro number ‘Didgerididnt’ and delivers sturdy, mind-mangling electro thrills on ‘Dust Devil’.

“Every 4,044 years comet Calanhi enters the inner solar system, returning from its long and silent voyage through the Oort cloud. As it approaches perihelion, billions on Earth gaze into the night sky, transfixed by the celestial spectacle of their lifetime. While solar winds tear at the comet’s surface, deep inside the glowing ball of ice, ancient machinery springs to life…” Over the past five years Daniel Lodig and Martin Sovinz aka /DL/MS/ have been continually commuting through the electro singularity, constructing their unique brand of fragile bass music from extradimensional sound salvage, and spreading their frequency patterns via the subspace channels of Frustrated Funk, Pomelo, and TRUST. ‘Calanhi’ is the Viennese duo’s debut album – 12 tracks that combine the eternally fresh aesthetics of Detroit-style electro with a relentless curiosity for rhythmic and harmonic experimentation. Seismic club thumpers like ‘Invisible Bits’, ‘Mountains’, and ‘Trusted Funk’ alternate with moody ambient interludes, boldly constructed beat inventions, and blissfully melodic acid breaks. Two collaborations further switch up the flow: Nigerian artist G.Rizo (Hezekina Pollutina, Deejay Gigolo) drops her cryptic rhymes on ‘Divide & Conquer’, and Spanish singer Xx Isis xX provides vocals for ‘Accelerated Frequency’.

Martin Matiske’s superb new six-track EP Circle Of Enlightenment on LDI Records is based around the concept of one-mindedness and togetherness. The EP aims to describe the direct connection between human beings and the universe. Martin says: “Human beings are aliens always looking for answers to questions like why are we here and what life is about? We know the answer but won’t accept it. We are made up of the elements of space and are directly connected to the universe. Each person contains the energy of the universe and is connected with everything that surrounds it. We are one! We are here because we are here! Our mission is to be!” Circle Of Enlightenment is a brilliantly adventurous and storytelling new EP from the ever-excellent Martin Matiske.

Orson Bramley and Martin Brown’s Transparent Sound project reaches way back to the mid 90s, and they’re still going strong rolling out the most on-point electro in the business. There’s a reason they’ve been picked up in the minimal scene as much as in purist machine funk circles, but their co-signs go back to the legendary Colin Dale, who signed Freaks Frequency to his Abstrakt Dance label back in 1998. The title track has been remixed plenty over the years, and it sounds as alien and nasty as it did when it first landed. ‘What Goes On’ is another mind-melter of dexterous synth lines and freaked out vocoder which quite frankly lays waste to the competition in the overstuffed electro scene. Diverting from the original EP, we also get a remix of ‘Freaks Frequency’ from the mighty Ectomorph and a previously unreleased cut called ‘Mistakes Happen’

Emerging as one of the most vital producers from South America to Europe, Filmmaker is back on Veyl with the new album, Fictional Portrayals. Recorded in his home country in Envigado, Colombia, the release delivers 8 tracks of raw, body pursuits proving yet again that he remains at the forefront of EBM, industrial, wave and beyond. While always carrying the producer’s soundtrack influenced sound, the LP kicks off with the haunting ‘All About That Pyramid’ moving next to the title track’s driving energy while then shifting to the more cerebral programming of ‘Possession’ ft. Bad Faith Actor. Things are just picking up with club decimators like ‘Splitter’ and ‘Immune to Propaganda’ while also switching moods with the more sinister ‘Orphic Eggs’ and the mesmerizing ‘Continuity’. Rounding out the release is the cold, emotional ride of ‘Far From Prospect’, leaving us with a sense of dread while simultaneously questioning just what is fact and what is fiction – something we never quite know in today’s multi-dimensional existence.

Seed it’s here! Growing inside of Soil Records. Focused on different styles and tempos that usually recognize at Soil which will be more focused now on mainly EBM, Darkwave and Industrial Sounds. Seed will be irrigated with DIY screen print design to keep the textures alive.

70s/80s influenced ambient mixed up with a healthy dose of UFO’s, abduction, occultism, paranoia, astral flow, new age and long lost Atlantis. 2020 was the year when Albert Kuningas debut vinyl on Escape From Synthesis was released and now the second part of this ambient/dark ambient masterpiece is available. Finally it’s time to get physical vinyl copies of legendary Bandcamp-only release ”Music for UFO document programs 2” with a never before heard bonus track called ‘Sateenkaarisilta 2’.

Luck of Access, Andrey Pushkarev’s tastemaking label, is back from a year’s hiatus with a new release from an iconic name. No stranger to the world of the finest dub-techno, a Mancunian producer about whom we still don’t know much, J.S. Zeiter delivers three elegant tracks that connect the dots between Detroit-dub and ambient. On the A-side, you’ll find “Scatter” — a rolling and intriguing journey through melancholic and enigmatic dub techno that’s enhanced by drifting delays, gentle forthright drums and crisp percussion. Over on side B, you’ll meet an impressive duo. “Silent Running” is the epitome of surreal broken beats and could become a perfect set-closing track. “Absence” reveals epic and immersive soundscapes that give you a glimpse of what a dystopian future may sound like.

UK techno legend Mark Broom returns to Radio Slave’s imprint Rekids for his latest full length, ‘100% Juice’. Title track ‘100% Juice’ leads the charge, barreling forward with phased hats and trippy bleeps, before ‘Slush’ carries the rest of the A-side with dense synths and stereo trickery. ‘Rainbow’ bridge sees muted chords drifting in and out of focus alongside rattling drum programming before ‘Reverse’ mutates dub techno inspired elements with swathes of spacious FX and pitch-perfect processing. Opening the second disc is the aptly titled ‘Wonky Workout’, which sees hard-hitting kicks meeting freaked out leads, followed by the fast-paced ‘I Want’, which brings crunchy, shuffling percussion and effected vocal samples together to devastating effect. The final side of vinyl is the one-two punch of ‘Boxed In’ and ‘Wiggle Me This’, with the former bringing sharp keys, rumbling low end and glistening pads, while the latter closes out the LP with warped acid lines and crisp drums.

Pfirter with his 3rd release on Odd Even. His productions are always filled with the depth of energy that is needed right in the middle of the floor to really forget everyday life. unbelievable drive and perfect harmony. real techno in its pure perfection. we can t say more than to be incredibly happy to have him back on board.

Italo Moderni presents “A Dauntless Sprite Descends” the new album of The Hague’s electronic music producer Dim Garden aka Sara Vollmond. This is a musical jewel and each tracks is a part of the astral journey in the enchanted forest of Dim Garden in The Hague. Giant mushrooms and animals running alongside us while they wink at us, so that we can continue to enter the forest while some magicians with giant long beards are playing synthesizers in the treetops in the light of the Moon. When we believe that we have completed the entire forest, a giant light appears from the bottom of the forest and all the animals go towards it, to pay their respect. One of the Forest Gods of Dim Garden appeared… the white wizzard named ”Legowelt” with a super magic remix and his fast paced take on the track ”Visions of Love” and all his synths around him. The housekeeper of the Forest is Jentlemen with her Remix of ”Na Mata”. Without realizing it, you have already been absorbed by the essence and atmosphere of Dim Garden… Open your eyes… or was it just a dream?

Two years after their previous Against Strong Thinking mini album, Spanish techno-meets-new wave duo SDH returns with a new, killer EP. There is a duality rooted deeply in the very soul of this project that is reflected in the line-up as well as in the music the band creates. While Sergi Alejandre is behind the machines propagating a wide spectrum of electronic beats ranging from techno and body music to synthpop and electro, Andrea Pérez offsets the night club vibe of the pounding drums with her emotional, romantic vocals. Remix duties go to Phase Fatale & Pablo Bozzi.
