Patrick Pulsinger – Impassive Skies [DB154]
The return of Vienna’s producer legend with a fresh 2010 techno album incorporating influences from late 1970s disco/wave punk, 1980s electro, 1990s advanced techno & a timeless intergalactic jazz feel. All eight tracks on the album show great diversity in style and musical approach. Several guest musicians and vocalists played an important part in the development of the album.

Mike Dehnert – Part 2 [FW012-1]
‘Part 2’ is essentially a status report on the last 12 months or so in Mike Dehnert’s world. He re-evaluates and modifies tracks from three previous releases, together with a handful of new cuts in a set of tidy versions for the digital crew. Both ‘Umluft’ cuts hit heavy with that stern German/Detroit flavour while ‘WH1′ and WH2’ serve perpetual techno revisions from the ‘Poutres EP’ and elsewhere we get killers from the ‘Dico’ EP.

The Psychic Stewardess – Spiritual Foundation CD [SLR037]
Strange Life has just announced the release of Spiritual Foundation, a collection of “woolly and smudgey Detroit electronics”, credited to The Psychic Stewardess. Though we’re told that it’s the work of a “part-time stewardess and psychic from the Californian desert town of Palm Springs”, it’s got Danny Wolfers’ (aka Legowelt) fingerprints all over it, and features his previously available re-rub of the Shinobi video game theme.
Cobblestone Jazz – The Modern Deep Left Quartet [K7258CD]
Two and a half years after their debut LP, 23 Seconds dazzled critics and lit up dance floors worldwide, Cobblestone Jazz are back with a powerhouse new album that captures their live-in-the-studio energy like never before. A mixture of heady, jazz-inspired house grooves and below-the-belt analog funk, it raises the bar for electronic dance music in 2010. Titled The Modern Deep Left Quartet, the record marks an important addition to the Cobblestone Jazz lineup, as the trio of Mathew Jonson, Danuel Tate and Tyger Dhula brings aboard Colin de la Plante (aka the Mole).
Conforce – Machine Conspiracy [MEAN020CD]
Conforce, aka Dutch techno producer Boris Bunnik, will release his debut album next month on Meanwhile. Entitled Machine Conspiracy, the album continues in the same vein as Conforce’s recent releases on Meanwhile and Modelisme, focusing on a bright and buoyant dub techno vibe. The album was recorded mostly in his bedroom in Leeuwarden, with two tracks originating on the Island of Terschelling, an isolated Dutch isle where Bunnik grew up, which is pictured on the album’s cover. Aside from “Love-Hate” and “Stop Hold,” which appeared on last month’s Love & Hate EP, all the tracks on Machine Conspiracy are previously unreleased.
Peter Van Hoesen – Entropic City [T2X011]

With smashing contributions by electro lord Legowelt from dirty brown The Hague and bleep addict Garçon Taupe from the bourgeois slums of Amsterdam, Narrominded presents the fourth installment in its renowned Split LP Series. Both sides of this Split LP comprise a whole EP in length, and the contributions have in common that they are both deeply rooted in electro music. Side one brings Garçon Taupe – wittenburg ep with some Commodore, amiga influenced electonica with a touch of acid. Split side is for Legowelt – land rovers in astrophysics ep. 4 tracks in the well known Legowelt style… West Coast disco, electro jack shizzle.
Jason Fine – Future Thought [KM012]
Jason Fine with his debut album on the sweet Kontra Musik. Mr Fine known for his releases on FXHE (Omar S his label) comes with a great hybrid between some sort of Dance Mania Chicago house (bass lines and drum programming) and Detroit techno (including the intense and overwhelming layers of strings) and stirs things together to his own unique blend of techno music.

Since the 90’s Lowtec is a reliable source for good deep techno tracks. And this time its no different … probably the tempo is a bit slower then 10 years ago… but the quality went up. Together with his Workshop release probably our favorite Lowtec sofar.
