Beppe Loda is back with a bang for Neptune’s Dispatch #3, delivering four scorching tracks infused with his iconic spaghetti disco vibe. Beppe’s dance floor-tested toolkit features cosmic bliss, guitar riffs reminiscent of Santana’s long-lost Italian cousin, evocative odes to the queen of love, and a love ballad from Italy’s supposed Gatsby.

The third release of the ”Obscure Cuts” series, curated by the Italian disco pioneer Beppe Loda, represents the electronic dance movement that formed in the late 70s – early 80’s in Italy. It features a few obscure productions that were inspired by Giorgio Moroder and other European electronic music of the time.

Dekmantel launches Selectors, a new intimate festival and a compilation series. The concept of Selectors focuses heavily on Dekmantel’s support for the art of DJ’ing, celebrating the extra-ordinary DJs that turned collecting and playing music into an art form. The festival will take place at the Garden Resort in Tisno and will host just 1500 people with amongst others Aroy Dee, Carlos Souffront, Helena Hauff, I-F, Traxx, Intergalactic Gary, Juju & Jordash and Motor City Drum Ensemble on the bill. The latter is also responsible for the first Selectors compilation.

This is the second release of the ‘Obscure Cuts’ series, curated by Berlin’s Oscillator party resident Beppe Loda. This EP sets us off on a magic carpet ride of Middle-Eastern-influenced Italian obscure disco gems from the 70’s. This release is a great ambassador for the Oscillator parties from which the label originates.

This repress contains two new versions as well as the original version, directly extracted from the original vinyl.

Italo Deviance Blog celebrates its first birthday with three killer edits on 12”. On the A side you’ll find an extended & very powerful “I wanted to tell her” by Ministry edited by Marcello Giordani. The B side contains an obscure track made in Canada but very Italo Disco flavored “Ladies Choice – American man” edited by Ajello and a crazy edit by special guest Beppe Loda of the release ”Captain Future – Freinde Greife An” (the German soundtrack of a cartoon from the early ‘80s).
