The fifth release on the BINAR-Label is a remix EP of four tracks. Efdemin remixed Decka, Amotik remixed Kameliia, The Lady Machine remixed Kaiser and Jeroen Search remixed Border One. The record is varied with emotional parts, over deep dives up to peak time sound.
From two recording sessions between Decka and Roseen in the summer of 2021, the results fused into an EP on Freddy Ks label, KEY Vinyl. They also kicked off a new label with an album from that same material. Now, they’ve dropped a remix EP featuring interpretations by DisX3 (aka Alexander Kowalski), Border One, and Don Williams, along with a new track from Decka and Roseen. The EP covers a broad spectrum of sounds, reflecting the philosophy that everything is a like yet distinct.
The Slovenian label Cogo is back for another unmissable 4-tracker vinyl compilation with the heaviest hitters in the scene who represent the most artistically driven hypnotic techno to date. Jeroen Search, Border One, ORBE, and Tonske all lend a hand to provide an understated and deep vibe to this release full of music actively attempting to remove your mind to otherworldly places hitherto unknown.
Border One’s fourth contribution to Token Records is an ode to the cosmic, an ever-present theme in the Belgian’s acclaimed career. ‘Strange Attractor’ takes techno and applies Border One’s bubbly modular sound glossing over thick drums, weaving through sound design destined for sophisticated sets on worthy sound systems. Calm and collected, he offers yet again his attention to detail and devotion to effect.
Fuga presents a focused and refined showcase of the Token sound in 2020. The compilation highlights the label’s dedication to the classic tenets of the Techno genre, but at the same time draws attention to its role as a conduit for new talent to receive the exposure it deserves without artistic compromise. The last part of the dancer’s trilogy: With Border One’s ‘Throw’ Ressort Imprint closes it’s triplette on the definition of modern Techno’s different sound colours. The title track ‘Throw’ starts of with a playful yet unobtrusive melody and shows the Ghent-based producer’s ability for shifting moods with very subtile yet effective measures. ‘Morphosis’, on the other hand, gives a real club momentum while ‘Tube’ is succeeding with topping itself bar by bar. All of this is rounded up by a big room take from Thomas Hessler.
The latest release on Par Grindvik’s long-running label is a diverse techno record. First up is Tor Lowkrantz aka Mighty Thor with ” All The Shadows”, a pumping, bleep-heavy track that fuses the hypnotic Sandwell sound with a groovy undercurrent.
