Since its inception in 2020, Italo Moderni’s energy, spirit and inspiration has been the dancefloor. The darkened bunkers of Belgium, the trembling speakers of Valencia, the warming dawn of Rimini, these influences have been the lifeblood. Solidifying this tireless effort, Mellow Bangers Vol 2 is the label’s most ambitious collection to date.
Cyrk with some fierce ruling electro tracks on Cultivated Electronics. The title track Attack of the Blow Up Dolls is a robotic electro cut, while the other three tunes are smooth and at times remind us of some of the classic I-f releases with bubbly analogue basslines, frantic synths and relentless electro beats.
Berlin-based label Burial Soil presents a collaborative electro album initiated by CYRK. Early 2020, they decided to reach out to some of their producer friends as well as artists they’ve been admiring for years, to collaborate on tracks. As they see it, the electro scene is a very close-knit community and it felt more than appropriate to support each other this way. For their album „Freundschaft“ CYRK has collaborated with Steffi, Anthony Rother, Ravn Jonassen, JakoJako, Jensen Interceptor, Alienata, Nite Fleit and David Carretta. BPMs are high on the eight tracks of “Freundschaft”, the end result of this collaborative process, incorporating various influences from electro-adjacent styles like italo, EBM or, unsurprisingly, techno.
After a long hiatus, Discos Atónicos returns with its tenth release. Presenting a various artists EP with a focus on dark & banging electro, it features tracks by CYRK, Nite Fleit, Rogue Filter & The Spy.
November see’s the 20th release of Lone Romantic, Ellum’s sister label which focuses on the nitty gritty that is all things Electro. Introducing to them to the LR family CYRK a duo made up of Sierra Sam and Pascal Hertzel who have seen releases on the likes of Rawax, Vakant to name a few deliver a 4 track monster titled Reality EP.
Part 3 of the ”Astra Spectra” series features the Berlin Electro duo CYRK with 3 intense and dark electro tracks. Rounding off the release is a remix of ”Human Mind” by Syrte.
CYRK deliver a three track energy trip of electro infused Italo house on DRED Records. The duo conjure up a collection modern melodies built upon the roots of machine-made-disco. Each track is a weapon for the summer dance floor and the EP is chaperoned with a remix from the nuclear power house known as Italo Brutalo.
