This was supposed to be the first release on the sub-label Exposed Black, from the parent net label Exposed Audio, but was never released. Tracks from Das Komitee, Masstyk, Mihai Popoviciu, The Model and Toygun. This was compiled by Jay Bliss in 2006.

Das Komitee – Dragobete Love Mix
Dragobete is a traditional Romanian holiday, celebrated on February 24 and is considered the Romanian equivalent of Valentine’s Day, a day for lovers. The day is known as “the day when the birds are betrothed”. It is around this time that the birds begin to build their nests and mate. On this day, considered locally the first day of spring, boys and girls gather vernal flowers and sing together. Maidens used to collect the snow that still lies on the ground in many villages and then melt it, using the water in magic potions throughout the rest of the year. Those who take part in Dragobete customs are supposed to be protected from illness, especially fevers, for the rest of the year. If the weather allows, girls and boys pick snowdrops or other early spring plants for the person they are courting.

Hipodrome Podcast 003 – Das Komitee
For the third Hipodrome podcast we are proud to present Das Komitee. He was part of Exposed Audio and Elektro.Casnice and is one of Romania’s most underground djs. His sets are always very eclectic and unpredictable, playing a mixture of electro, italo disco, acid house and techno and never following the hype. He crafted for us a mix melting new with old, deep with acid, house with italo in his own characteristic style.
