On the flip ‘XTC’ takes a more Cosmic route to dancefloor abandon, while ‘Roller’ is a barn-storming Discoid jam that wraps up another damn fine EP.

Same Speed Sambas are back to celebrate the sound of the summer in 2017 in their very own unique way.S earching out for more obscure uses of Brasilian rhythms and coming up with two dance floor delights – one from Denmark and another from right here in the UK – giving them once again, that unique Same Speed re-touch. Samba Operator takes a rare live recording of one of the UK’s finest soul acts of the 80s’ biggest hits and re-works it into a mostrous tropical club anthem; while Numero Dois goes down the Samba-Not-Samba route taking a Danish 70s girl band and giving them some very warm disco treatment. The result is something very contemporary sounding that’ll fire up the dance every time.
The 04AM A-side contains two South-African 80’s Bubblegum tracks, revamped by young DJ and producer Perdu. He provided the tracks with delicate intros and rearranged them with new percussion, synths and deeper basslines. On the flip Afrobot delivers two kind of New Beat cuts, making the originals more abstract by some heavy chopping, reducing the amount of samples used, and adding disco breaks to the track Jungle.

Tracy Island will follow a 10 episode framework taking inspiration from Thunderbirds, all of which aptly named after the original series. For the third set of Excursions, we’re letting off some tasty Turkish flavours. Darkhouse Family presents ‘An Ottoman Excursion’. Halal Cool J (aka Don Leisure of Darkhouse Family) has blessed us with four cheeky edits, crafted with care, and guaranteed to create dancefloor flames. For ‘An Ottoman Excursion’ we head straight in with the neck-snapping drums and epic riffs of ‘Visne Nektari’, before the synth-led ‘Derbent’s Groove’ breezes triumphantly into motion. For the flip, we nicely drop the pace a little to do the ‘Turkish Duck Walk’, before the humidity of the ‘Fernebache Heat’ raises up the tempo to close out the set. 4 chops. 8 minutes of Turkish Psych-Funk vibes.
For the first release coming in 2017 Macadam Mambo strikes very hard with a very special EP of radical dance music by the German band The Blech revisited by Hambourg’s based artist Wosto. The Blech released 6 LP between 1985 and 1996. Their albums have become a treasure-trove of extravagant, groovy dance hall artistry. The forcefulness with which The Blech flung their conviction from the stage into the audience was at once hypnotic, irritating and erotic. Here Wosto has selected two tracks from the Zip Zip LP originally released in 1987 (Nichts Wie Vorher and Zip Zip) and one from the Ich Wollte Meine Schuhe Zerschneiden LP (Die Einame Trane) released in 1989, and transform them into strong powerfull dancefloor cuts. Be sure of the efficient of the product, no need to talk more, let the music speak by itself.Special mention for the magnificient artwork of Lyon’s based artist Hugo Charpentier from the Mauvaise Foi collective.

Salamanca returns with their fifth release, proud to present two pioneers from the infamous Dutch Westland italo scene: Peet Need and Savino. The duo came up with an excellent remix of Marcia di Kioto, next to their original song called Hypnotized. On the flipside you’ll find haunting synths by SEER on Voltaic break-beats delivered by Afrobot. Last but not least we have included an new wave edit from the mysterious Simulanten.
After heating up with Sign Bit Zero’s second release with Wosto and label boss Kilian Krings, Sign Bit Zero is now continuing with some edits by Murray CY, the label honcho of Contort Yourself. The next release contains strictly rough tape material of old and forgotten cassettes from the eighties with a wide range from weird obscurites to strongly distorted material.
