Dance Mécanique EP: Unleashing the Pulse of the Mechanized Symphony. Embark on a sonic journey through the labyrinthine landscapes of machinery with Alpha Sect’s upcoming EP, “Dance Mécanique.” This vinyl release, destined to echo through the underground, serves as a pulsating manifesto against the encroaching takeover of our world by cold, relentless machines. In Meredith, Alpha Sect crafts a sonic portrait of a world on the verge of mechanization. His haunting voice, draped in delay and reverb effects, weaves seamlessly with the beats of EBM and the cold melodies of Post-Punk. This sonic tapestry creates a hypnotic soundscape that mirrors the evolving relationship between man and machine. Dance Mécanique, the titular track, unravels the dance of humanity entrapped in the mechanized rhythm of everyday life. Here, the gritty beats of EBM and ethereal echoes of Coldwave serve as a mirror reflecting how, at times, we move mechanically, lost in the repetitive motions of a world dominated by cold efficiency.

Dreamy and old-school ravey moments that resonate perfectly with each other on this versatile EP by Böhm. Böhm is no stranger to the electronic music scene as he has made quite a splash with his latest releases on Dolly, Partout, M>O>S and Undersound Recordings and this outing on Eudemonia acts as an ideal successor.

Six years following his previous LP, Franck Kartell returns to the music scene with an exceptionally personal album released under the label Noise To Meet You. On this occasion, the French artist pays homage to one of his lifelong obsessions — underwater detection and the acoustics of war. Eight exclusive tracks that immerse listeners in the raw undulations of rough waves, the echoes of sonar sounds, and weighty atmospheres combined melodic elements that define Franck Kartell’s unique sound.

For more than thirty years, Ruud Lekx has been corrupting hearts and minds with his unmistakable brand of synthesizer music. Under his Rude 66 mask, this titan of electronics returns to Bordello A Parigi with twelve darkened tracks for ‘Conditioning Consciousness’. Tempos glide low in the opening incantations. From the breathy murmurings of “Magick Angels’ Invocations”, the listener is brought into Rude’s world. Shauna Lekx’s signature vocoder lyrics and blackened subject matter are central tenets, as are hauntingly delicate melodies. “The Riddler In Me” is a deep psychological journey through cable and circuit, an unsettling monologue accompanied by liquid analogue lines. BPMs are allowed to rise for the shimmering warmth of “In Exile” and in the reverb soaked “The Chariot”. But these are the outliers. Across the collection, percussion drives without ever being a central force. Instead, the focus is the bewitching and brooding compositions. Take the drugged low slung groove of “The Talisman of Algol” or the loose modulations of “Le Sagittaire”, here the listener is brought into the heart of the machines and the musician. The curtain close, “The Five Swords Of Venus In Aquarius” gathers a spread of influences, bringing them together into one piece. Synth. Soundtrack. Strings. All culminate in this superb climax, a climax to an album that broaches the boundaries between terrifying and terrific.

Dalmata Daniel welcomes Filmmaker and Petros Spatharos for the eighth part of their split series. This obscure 3-3 track vinyl is the debut of the Columbian music maker on the label. However, for the Athens-based producer it’s a return after his participation on “Dalmata Daniel eats Lahmacun” compilation. But this project isn’t their first collaboration, because Petros released his first album on Body Musick, Filmmaker’s own imprint.

Frankfurt am Main producer Electrodefender is back with his signature West Coast influenced electro. 15 tracks on his new release “Music Is Worth It”, serving up electro-funk and ambient journeys.

Metroplex continues its run of reissues with two more seminal releases from the label’s golden back catalog. First off is Catalog number M003, aka late 80’s Metroplex electro staple Channel One, a Juan Atkins joint with Doug Craig (Carl Craig’s cousin) on vocals. Futuristic and playful techno from the late 80s which soundwise evolves from Cybotron and the obvious Kraftwerk influences. Juan Atkins said about the release in a 2005 interview that “it was more fun than politically driven, just about the colors and combination spread from colors”. An important release in the history of Techno from both a cultural and creative perspective. Channel One’s technicolor has been carefully remastered from the original tapes.

Featherstone’s fifth release for Ernest’s Way is a 5 track, electro inspired EP featuring deep, syncopated sequences and angular rhythms contrasted with emotive passages that hit in all the right places.

Elevating the paradigms of electronic music, Chapelle XIV Music unveils “The First Android Church Of Claude Shannon,” an immersive LP from Yoyaku household Roger Gerressen. Bathed in the aesthetic allure of retro-futurism and the imaginative dimensions of classic sci-fi cinema, this opus synthesizes the arcane with the avant-garde in a masterful tapestry of sound. Comprising six intricately crafted tracks, the album serves as an auditory odyssey that transcends the borders of genre. Whether enveloped in the nebulous ambience of a discerning DJ set or fueling introspective home listening marathons, these compositions resonate with an arresting quality that’s evocative yet profoundly innovative. Within the multi-dimensional soundscapes of this album, listeners find a harmonious blend of homage and innovation. Drawing inspiration from Claude Shannon—the mathematical genius and pioneering mind behind modern digital circuit design theory—”The First Android Church Of Claude Shannon” stands as a testament to the synthesis of past and future. With Roger Gerressen at the helm, the boundaries of electronic music are redefined, creating an aural experience that is both cerebral and soul-stirring, beckoning the listener into an uncharted territory of sonic exploration.

Electro is fundamentally modern. The coldness of the machine laid bare, a human attempt to express through circuits and wiring. Despite adhering to specific codes and norms, it is a sound that refuses to be pigeonholed. It is with this in mind that Shipwrec has collected a wealth of international talent to showcase their own vision of this bracing style. Serge Geyzel incises from the needle drop, the acid blistered “Still There” is sliced and quartered by scissoring snares. Endfest changes the trajectory with the modular warmth of “La Chouffe” before the lines change and Manasyt delivers the darkened angles and punishing percussion of “Row Hammer.” Andrew Red Hand maintains the shadowy synthlines of his predecessor, industrial undertones bubbling to the surface in distortion-soaked aggression. The mood shifts with Alpha Visitor. Crystalline chords are punctured by crisp drum patterns, stabbing keys and broad arcs unveil a world of sci-fi inspirations. The finale comes from Jauzas the Shining. Broad sweeps introduce “Shemale” before dripping drums are countered by samples and icy blasts. Modern machine music from six masters.

Sound Synthesis, Acidulant and RAIM perform their best Electro Acid tracks on the second Zodiak Commune ‘The Electro Guilde’ release. RAIM is a collaboration between Sound Synthesis and Acidulant.

Eight individual projects with various international origins, these two ep’s contain reworked and remixed material of Takuya Sogimoto’s early work that has been released on acido in 2020 and 2022, as well as some unreleased trax from 1994/95. Packaged in two editions of 300 copies, released separately. This is Volume 2 incl music from DJ Sotofett, Dynamo Dreesen & SJ Tequila, DJ Gizzard and DJ Yoav B.

NYC experimental producer Neud Photo is up next on Eya’s Lonewolf series with a killer 5 tracker named ‘Echoes. The EP brilliantly oscillates between various inspirations with a strong machine sound; an incredible and hauting journey into electro, new beat, minimal and techno.

Antoni Maiovvi has made a name for himself for 15 years with a multitude of releases on Tusk Wax, Vivod, Omnidisc, Giallo Disco, Italo Moderni or even Bordello a Parigi. Emeritus producer, influenced by obscure disco, synth disco or italo disco, his sound is definitely analog. His magnificent EP is a concentrate of all his influences and more. This is his debut for Skylax’ sub-label dedicated to this specific genre, Cosmic Club.

Funk The System! The recipe is simple: Dig deep, listen to your heart, record everything you got on a dusty old desktop computer, leave it to simmer for the time of a pandemic, and if it’s still fresh, serve it up on the finest plate of black wax! This collaboration started in Düsseldorf in the year 2018. Locked up for a week in the Flanger Studios, Wolf Müller and Credit 00 recorded everything: from the jaw harp to smartphone apps, chopping up GDR Jazz breaks and squeezing the Funk out of every synthesizer and drum machine at hand. You will hear the open mindedness towards all sorts of musical influences from the first note. Each of the five tracks showcases a wild mix of flavours: Disco Reggae, B-Girl Breakbeats, Protest Folk, Subway Funk, Tabla Rhythms, you name it… they’ll take it and shake it! It is obvious these two got sonically socialized and educated by the multiculturalism of Hip-Hop in their early days.

After making his mark on TWDIG01, the enigmatic artist Noamm from Northern Greece makes his return on Tiger Weeds with a solo 6-track EP. Featuring stripped-down, back-to-basics sound, which truly showcases his mastery of minimalism. Each track has been thoughtfully composed to emphasize the raw and unadulterated essence of electro. In today’s complex world, Noamm’s music embraces the ‘less-is-more’ aesthetic.
