Reggie Dokes – Once Again / Haiti [ROYAL008]

https://imagescdn.juno.co.uk/300/CS422016-01A-MED.jpg

Reggie Dokes returns on Clone Royal Oak, with 2 amazing tracks. Emotional and passionated house tracks, raw, unpolished music. Title track “Once Again” has received a remix treatment by two young dutch producers called Morning Factory. These guys show the same passion for their productions as Reggie, and they delivered a great edit version that added some extra energy to the original mix.

Steve Moore – Zero-point Field EP [LIES003]

https://clone.nl/platen/artwork/large/plaatimage20395.jpg

L.I.E.S. is back with another offering from the underground, this time by Steve Moore. He delivers two tracks of epic, heavily synth-driven, nu-age techno which shifts between moments of light, darkness and the grey area in between, slowly morphing as they progress onward.

Christopher Rau – How Are You [PAMPA007]

New release from Christopher Rau on Pampa Records. “Pervading Animal” is built upon a solid foundation of familiar rhythm box elements, but like vines and moss, the sedating sounds of strings and keys envelop the empty spaces, showing Christopher Rau’s ability to combine the artificial and the organic into something transcendent. On the flip side, “C F R” sounds like by-the-numbers Muppet New Age, but graduates with distinction as the meowing synth squiggles saunter over the basketball beat. The EP denouements with “How Are You Today”, marked by a toasty chord progression that’s playfully trying to compose itself as the track moves forward, turning science fiction into science fact.

Argy – Daze To Come / The Difference [VER072]

Versatile presents the new Argy “Daze To Come EP”. On the A side, “Daze to Come” and his melancholic and hypnotic synth is a real gemm. The kind of track which owns a real and deep mood. The dub version give up the synth to focus on the groovy beat. On B side, Argy push forwards the house vein with the track “The Difference”. Funky samples, endless groove, strong beat, hard to resist to this track. Its dub version offer the powerful beat, a perfect tool for DJs.

Semtek – West Acyd Shelter EP [DBA004]

The fourth release on Don’t Be Afraid “West Acyd Shelter” takes one of the most important jazz funk records of the 1970’s as its starting point. Semtek rebuilds the legendary hook from scratch over a disorienting range of acid, broken and techno accoutrements leaving a tweaked out bassline stepper. Photonz bring their unique style to the proceedings with an “I can’t believe it’s not garage” take on Semtek’s beat. The B-side “East Acyd Shelter” is a sparse analogue workout.
