The Cellar Boyz ‘Pay Me’ is taken from Ben Cenac’s timeless ‘Cozmic House E.P’ on Thug Records. Pay Me which was recorded in 1986 is the only track from the Cozmic House E.P that had available parts. The stems for Deeper & Deeper, Seems To Me & Who Loves You were never recorded. This was due to the fact that all of Ben’s projects through out the ‘90s were tracked MIDI only at mix down, with only the vocals being recorded to tape. Thug would never have had the opportunity to release Ben Cenac’s Cozmic House 12″ if it had not been for Simoncino. Simoncino did all the A&R for the record. A gift not only for Thug but any fans of Ben Cenac’s amazing productions. With that in mind, Simoncino has provided 2 remixed versions of Pay Me, alongside a remix from close friend Nicholas.

Things Of The Past is a mesmerizing deep house track with laid back vox and moody instrumentation. The NYC Club Mix has a great Jersey vibe and makes a great alternate version of this beautiful song. Forever Feel It is built around a great string sample taken from a famous funk and soul album from the 70’s. On this track the bassline nicely develops along the way and Nicholas cleverly added loose drums, vocal bits and funky stabs making this a smooth floor burner.

The second single from his forthcoming flux album, Still Playing House, is a beast. “Free To Be” is a house-submerged affair, as low-slung as they come and in a classic Murk vibe. Berliner Hunee delivers a spot on remix on the title track and brings it into deeper territory. He is transforming the original mix into something fuller, warmer and almost epic. “Down To Nothing” is another slow pumping house nugget. With its soothing and soaring synths, ebb-and-flow arrangement, inviting melody and vocals, this is another bomb fitting every house set. Things get even slower with “Why Don’t You”.
