Romansoff – Infinite Dreams [MÖRK005]

Mörk continues a hazy run of releases with a hard-driving, dream-techno 12″ from Romansoff. Known for raw and battered techno excursions and curation through his Raw Tools labels, Romansoff continues his recent stellar run with a more wandering, daylight-dreaming four track EP. The light-splintered techno of ‘Beyond The Self’ melting into the looping shuttered-blind house of ‘Infinite Dreams’. While the flip explores a visceral washed-out 5am sound palette, with ‘Seven Sins’s drowning modems and the incessant clattering rhythms of ‘She Forgives’.
VA – DKMNTL X PATTA 02 [DKMNTLXPATTA002]

For the second installment of their four-part collaboration with Amsterdam streetwear brand Patta, Dekmantel unleash a tasty long sleeve t-shirt and another three previously unheard tracks from a trio of homegrown talents. Veteran producer and former Rednose Distrikt man Awanto3 kicks things off, joining the dots between the starry sounds of Detroit techno and Mood Hut style new age deep house on the dreamy “Cover Up”. Flip for the old skool Detroit techno-meets-deep house bounciness of Mark Du Mosch’s “2nd 5ystem”, and Robert Bergman’s “Wings”, an out-there, acid-flecked trip into deep space paranoia that defies easy categorization. All three tracks are undeniably strong, making this one of the more alluring volumes in an altogether excellent series.
Pelifics – Capitello [FP049]

Norwegian-Italian producer Pelifics makes disco, infused with a strong homage to 80’s pop, and a little dash of 90s house. The result is melodic, inspiring, kicking, danceable music that leave the listener oscillating between sounds of youthful nostalgia and the future sound of disco. Next to the lush ultracrisp feel of the original track, full of light , warmths, thoughtful ideas it´s Chmmr and Fett Burger. Chmmr with his fantastic translucent strings and Fett Burger with a remarkable intro to a new ‘beatless’ approach.
Quarion – Busted Moniker EP [RTR016]

Yanneck “Quarion” Salvo has been relatively quiet of late, with his last 12″ dropping midway through 2014. The four cuts gently pull in subtly different directions, with the blissfully spacey synth melodies and long builds of “Lost Coordinates” being followed by the bass-heavy, deep house basement funk of “A Thousand Questions”. Flip for the relentless organ stabs, shaker-heavy grooves, twisted synth lines and bumpin’ bassline of “Burnin”, and the fantastically broken P-funk workout that is “You Were The Only”.
Mr. Beatnick – Formed In The Stance EP [DBA021]

Mr. Beatnick returns to DBA after a two year hiatus following his Synthetes Trilogy series, with a new direction and a 4 track EP which represents his most floor-focussed work to date. Opening cut Stutter is an immaculately crafted deep techno bomb which features the trademark sound familiar to fans of the London producer’s work, whilst title track Formed In The Stance and flip-side Obsidian Morning explore an eyes-down, moody, broken sound which will no doubt ring a bell for devotees of the seminal Co-Op nights.
QY – Quatro / Zord / Skynet [UWE012]

QY are finally returning to their mothership with three tracks that immediately will take control of your hidden daydreams.

Terriers – Second Labour of Hercules [MPR006]

New release on Major Problems featuring some glassy-eyed triptych of techno variations from Terriers.
Kovyazin D – Destiny EP [MOSDEEP025]

Russian DJ and producer Dmitry Kovyazin aka Kovyazin D makes his debut on the Dutch label M>O>S Deep. He serves up three tracks of house that fit perfectly with the misty, roughshod vibe of the well established label. Up first is ‘The Iron Jack,’ which is a seriously slow but thumping house number with massive booming kicks, thunderous claps and cutting hits and cymbals. As the drums ping about, a paranoid synth line creeps in to get you thinking and the groove stays locked throughout. ‘Destiny’ is a more moody and subdued cut with circling spaceships hovering around a sunken metropolis. The drums here are lazy and inviting, and the overall mood is one of inward reflection. Finally, ‘Uralmash Buildings’ is an acid cut with scattered cow bells, thick bass and military sounding snares that makes for warm and uplifting listening.

Tapirus – Where Are We Heading [MNSX002]

‘Where Are We Heading’ EP is a sequel to the stunning entry by Tapirus aka Charlton Ravenberg, and offers greater room for the artist to roam, breathe, flex and grow. The title track ‘Where Are We Heading’ questions the forward march by mankind with a Mr. Fingers touch providing pause in between the war. Offering up his interpretation on B2 is Credit 00, adding battle call drums and a kind of majesty, he rallies new life to the mix, pointing a way forward in this crazy collective experience we call life.
Achilles – High School Lovers [SNT001]

Previously released on cassette, here is a new mastered 12″ vinyl with dreamy raw house jams by Leipzig based Achilles. All tracks were recorded with a Fostex 380S Tape Recorder without doing any kind of overdubbing or shit like that just using a couple of cheap drum machines and synthesizers.Old skool 90s inspired analog underground House.

Art Crime – Renessense EP [CR1286]

The mysterious Art Crime is back with a new EP on Creme Organisation. It is a four track affair that continues to showcase the producer’s knack for ravey, texturally rich house and techno sounds with a rather haunting edge. ‘Anxiety is Always Here’ is a high tempo stomper with spooky pads and jangling, energetic melodies that reverberate in a dark night sky. ‘The Owner’ is rooted on firm kicks and has dark, lo fi atmospheres percolating all around as paranoid stabs and gothic keys rain down from above. ‘Renessense’ is then a rather more stripped back and groovy, deeper cut with slithering and icy hi hat patterns and sombre bass notes. Still, it retains a trance inducing sense of freakiness before closer ‘Intention’ close out the EP in lithe, soulful and hi tek techno fashion.
ASOK / Neville Watson – Scenery White 001 [SCNW001]
