The Zenker Brothers welcome Italian producer Stenny back into the Illian Tape fold for a third time, with the Eternal Restriction 12″ offering a further refinement on his distinctive blend of heavy bass, loud sonics and rhythmic syncopation. Dario and Marco end the record with a remix of the title track that evens out a few of the kinks without edging too close to being straightforward.

Ever committed to the techno cause, Dario Zenker returns once more to his own Illian Tape imprint with four intense statements of how classic and modern elements should be fused to make timeless tracks. “27 Northwest” undoubtedly has a whiff of original Detroit about it, but there’s no escaping how much of a hook the lead synth is over the tough but dextrous beat. “Cooking Booking” meanwhile exists somewhere in that discordant realm Kevin Saunderson dipped his toes into before rave emerged as its own offshoot, all the time still pounding out a detailed broken techno pattern. “Growin” gets a little more heady in its use of old-skool chords before “Karlim” softens the edges of the EP with a glorious slice of emotive techno.

And then Bavaria was born. In other words this 4 tracker supported by your mum manages to come along heavy without rippin off some folk song and putting some lame ass ritterbeat underneath it.

The eastern influences from his hood aren’t easy to ignore, and if u listen very carefully u can feel and smell the shisha dust inside the Landwehr street. In a city like Munich it’s hard to rent an extra room for a studio due the extremely high prices, so we all have bedroom studios with the advantage that we can do music whenever we feel to. However our Stressin turkish Neighbour behaves like the pain in the ass of the whole neighbourhood. But we all have a Vision and the Night gives us the support we need to create our own space and our own time within our own spirit on 180 g vinyl from now on with a vinyl only cut on every 12″.

It sounds like Dario bought some healthy food, went to McDonalds and ate it there to provoke some marketing campaign against intensive livestock farming. We know for a fact that he has an unlimited love for good food, dirty old school hip hop, porn, broken beats and kung fu by the way. His flat on the 5th floor gets a lot of Light during the summer and also heats up a lot. Can you smell the sweat? Speaking of sweat, you should check out Inner Circle’s „Sweat“. Instead of a proper high 5, we would even Give 6 for this one! Oh what a bad way of trying to make some sense with the track title…but honestly „Give 6“ is a hard one.
