For the thirteenth release, Construct Re-Form invite the Argentinian prodigy Jonas Kopp. The Cosmic Control Center Ep starts with “Cognitive Process” and “Metaprogramming” which are more introspective and abstract whereas “Vortex” is the climax, the release of energy. To conclude “Human Bio Computer” adds something tragic, the final touch to the picture.
Jonas Kopp – Photon Belt LP [TRESOR293]
Jonas Kopp and Tresor have shared a bright and prosperous musical relationship for some years and now the Argentinian artist delivers a new full-length to the Berlin’s legendary. The “Photon Belt” is dedicated to a cosmic phenomenon our solar system experiences every 11,000 years. The photon belt is a band of intense light energy into which our star and its planets moves into for a duration of about 2,000 years. Expect a thoughtful and mature labor from Jonas Kopp’s mesmerizing 10-track journey, on which the Argentine’s contemporary methods in production meet traditional techno constituents. Throughout the album, different sidereal interludes arch over to his Telluric Lines side project, which he presented at the 2016 edition of the Berlin Atonal festival. Crucial titles such as “Galactic Core”, “Aile”, the eponymous “Photon Belt” and “5D World” are set to leave a large footprint in the continuous sequence of electronic music.

Jonas Kopps returns to Tresor with a powerful and club-oriented EP, ”HHH”. Jonas Kopp – Beyond The Hypnosis [TRESOR273LP]
In the eight years since his emergence as a promising 19 year old producer, Argentinean Jonas Kopp has amassed a solid discography with a veritable clutch of 12″ material for the likes of Curle, Ilian Tape, CLR, Krill, Stroboscopic Artefacts and Tresor. Sensing the time is right to try his hand at the album format, Kopp’s chance comes via the later Berlin techno behemoth with Beyond The Hypnosis a weighty 12 track endeavour. This vinyl edition features only eight of those tracks spread across the two slabs but still gives a keen display of Kopp’s talent for crafting finely sculpted techno.
Exium – A Sensible Alternative To Emotion Remixes [POLEGROUP025]
Alternative to Emotion featuring reworks from Jonas Kopp, Silent Servant, Oscar Mulero and Tripeo. Four different points of view about real techno, from analogue workouts to modern techno vibes. Silent Servant is the first on duty, taking The 12th Planet as target, reverting it into an arpeggiated sythn monster, hypnotic, repetitive, reverberated, a perfect abstract mixing tool. Jonas Kopp uses subsonic warfare in his reconstruction, with a subterranean beat for starting that soon fills the space with an industrial beat and hi frequency drones…no jokes here. Oscar Mulero gives the remix from Massless Particle, flanged synths, clear kicks, a breathing beat and repetition as a therapy, subtle 808 claves and some hi frequency drones complete the menu. Last guest is Tripeo. The remix for Dronid shows the intrincate part of Tripeo’s mind, broken beats, sweeping ambient drones, synth bleeps and pads, an ideal intro track for serious techno sets.

Stephen Brown / Jonas Kopp – Lost Archives – Part III [AERA007.3]
Part three of the Lost Archives Series including 2 heavy tracks for the floor. On the A-side, Stephen Brown contributes with ‘The Flow’ in which he perfectly shows his own distinctive trademark sound. Moving synths on top of a rolling tribalesque beat. On the B-side we find Jonas Kopp with ‘Telergía’. It’s one of his most melodic pieces to date, which therefore makes a perfect match with Indigo. Up to date techno with old school Detroit influences.

Dimi Angélis & Jeroen Search – Rhetorica EP [STHLMLTD025]
Dimi Angelis & Jeroen Search make their first appearance on Par Grindvik’s Stockholm LTD label with their ‘Rhetorica EP’. This EP is a lesson in deep, patient and hypnotic sounds. ‘Divisio’ utilizes dubbed out delays as they work the percussion into gentle builds and breaks in a subtle but effective manner. ‘Partitio’ steps towards the darker tones the duo are known for with a relentless rhythm underpinning celestial Sci-Fi bleeps and bells. Both originals carry warm analogue sounds and were recorded in one take giving them a continuously evolving, organic feel. The EP is roaded by a Jonas Kopp remix.
Jonas Kopp – Reforce [DRH040]
For the 40th release, Deeply Rooted House welcomes Argentina’s own Jonas Kopp. This 4 tracks ep gives a good example of his diverse and still very defined techno recording skills. A side goes from the very straight forward and somehow mental ‘Reforce’ to the deep and abstract journey of ‘Proteus 81’, while B side kicks of with the somehow balearic and positive ‘Green fingers’ to end up with the quest of ‘Light’!
Developer & Truncate – Part One [MODULARZ008.1]
With his Modularz label becoming a firm bastion of unfiltered techno machinations, Developer sets about bombarding our senses with his productions and curations across two vinyl releases this month. For the first part, his own “Heated” rattles through an industrial landscape devoid of colour, instead populated by reverb decays and distant clangs of metal. The rest of the record is handed over to Truncate, whose “Diffraction” flips the script with a central melodic hook and a thoroughly austere beat. Jonas Kopp’s remix beefs up that same theme by doubling up the phrase and edging towards a peak time monster, while Markus Suckut takes things deeper and into a more house compatible realm.
Unbalance – Fluid EP [MUX005]
Mutex Recordings are back on wax with Fluid EP from Unbalance. His music is an incredible collage of everything you love in techno: thick groove, Detroit-styled chords and spooky futuristic effects. Jonas Kopp and Manzel, on remix duties, complete the release.
