New Beat swagger meets EBM menace on the latest Kri release. New York based producer, DJ and Samo Records owner Facets channels the raw spirit of late ’80s New Beat and EBM into a modern club context with stripped-down rhythms and tense electronics lock. Four original tracks are bolstered with two heavyweight remixes courtesy of Marcello Giordani, the Italo Deviance maestro, and the iron-fisted British techno icon Broken English Club / Oliver Ho.
Re-press of this classic Disco EP by Marcello Giordani. This one was originally released on vinyl back in 2006 on the now defunct sub-label ”Players Paradise” and was one of the first ever releases by Marcello Giordani who went on to become a household name in the scene.

Encapsulating, intelligent acid work is heard in ‘Forbidden Pleasures’. Marcello’s clear love for analogue authenticity is at the forefront of this LP. Based on an original idea by fellow producer Lennart, Ritmo Fatale & Slow Motion are joining forces in creating a new entity in the italodisco multiverse : Universo Parallelo. On this ten tracks various the idea is to showcase artists from both labels, trying to merge their Italian and French music approaches. Disco Segreta brings you another italian disco rare holy grail. Spazio Vitale has been an 8 piece one-off studio band project from the Sampierdarena district in Genoa, Italy. They recorded and released their only 45 single in November 1977: “Spazio Funky” b/w the ballad “Il Bacio”, on the local tiny Melody label. “Spazio Funky” is a magic-carpet ride through the classic elements of funk-disco: electric bass and drums, along with guitars, choruses, three voices and the heavy use of Eminent 310 Unique and Clavinet Hohner D6 synthesisers, rendering the widely experimental nature of the late 1970s disco scene in Italy and the diverse nature of the music scene of one of Italy’s music epicenters: Genoa. This first ever 12” vinyl release will feature the original “Spazio Funky” 1977 version, along with a remix by italian synth mastermind DJ Marcello Giordani.
This release has been planned to be out for a long time and as Olya (Ready In LED) is from Ukraine, it gives us even more reasons to find ways to support Ukrainian people in these terrible times. The eight chapter of the infamous Slow Motion Compilation series, “Italian Dance Wave Disco Otto”, has quite some hidden gems to be discovered. Beginning with a track from Marcello Giordani DJ (half of the duo Marvin & Guy), that expresses a perfect Italian melancholic sunset (as the title also states), energetic, strong, but always poetic. Always following that “beachy” vibes we find The Caribbean House, serving a track that could last a century, and we would never mind. Electro hints mixing with deep and balearic vibes: ears glued to the headphones. Moreover, we have again Slow Motion queen, System Olympia with a track that could make even nuns sweat on the dancefloor: beats and bass to die for. To close this chapter, you can pamper your ears with a angry balearic track from Gallo, not suited for the more weak hearts, that’s for sure.
This 6 tracks LP travel through again into the unique sound of the early 80’s Italo Disco built with spacey analog sounds, some cheesy atmospheres and a touch of primitive Trance chords. Marcello’s taste is very clear and specific when we speak about Electronic Disco and this LP is totally inspired by artists like Farina/Rago, Sangy, Alexander Robotnick, Alessandro Novaga, Doris Norton and also from his experience collecting and playing this shit during the last 20 years.
