Having slowly plugged away at the underground scene for many years now, Rio Padice seems to be settling into his own sound now, and it’s right at home on Rawax. There’s a brittle quality to the pumping drums that Padice programmes, as if they might shatter at any given moment. Meanwhile the vibes that surround these skeletal rhythms range from the mellow keys of “Track 1” through to the red-lined acid squelch of “Track 2”. With everything lovingly fed through an aging process to give it a grainy quality, you can’t deny that the man has worked hard to make his tracks raw.

New release on Housewax, this time by Jaime Read who has been releasing deep house & techno since the mid-nineties. Here 4 classic Chicago/NY inspired cuts that just have everything: the original vintage synths, drums & basslines, and a serious positive vibe.

The first full length on Chiwax is coming from Steve Murphy & die Roth from Venice, Italy. The album includes 8 lovely vintage Chicago house and ’80ies Chicago house tracks.

Rio Padice is back with some assured groovers for Housewax. On the Moon Phases EP the ghost of deep Chicago house looms heavy, not least in the opening track. It’s deliberately naive, easy-going music perfectly pitched to worm its way into a warm-up scenario, but with enough grit in the production to avoid the trap of background fodder. The B-Side is a touch wilder, as the syncopation of “Track 3” does damage with a sumptuous square wave bass while “Track 4” bumps on a nasty garage shuffle.

Shyam kickstarts the new 10 inch series from Rawax in fine style. Fantastic powerful deep house tracks for serious club abuse!

Chicago influenced tracks for the second release on the label, coming from East Soul Person aka Ilya Nazarov

New release on Rawax by Brother G. Cool jacking house track with a raw edge and a little retro touch.

Rawax with another strong ep done by the young talented Unbroken Dubs. Raw analogue sounding techno tracks with a nice lively feel and funking drum machines!

The fourth release on the Russian label Rawax. Four well crafted and arranged melodic tracks that are moving away from the prime time dance floors and look for a bit more challenge.

This is the 2nd release by Russian Denis Safiullin with more high quality dub techno, on Rawax.

Rawax with the number 3 catalogue number, containing deeper techno tracks rooted on classic Detroit techno, produced by a new breed of Russioan producers Alex Danilov, Brother G, Diebo and Unbroken Dub.

From Germany comes Untitled Dubs, another somewhat enigmatic project, bringing a lot of warmth and subtally moody techno stuff.
