Hour House is Your Rush is releasing an EP from Chicagoian Ricardo Miranda. ‘Floorwax’ urges us to do the damn thing, assuming that he leaves us no choice but to slam dance to this hypnotic acid work out. ‘Redline’ starts out with just drums and a pulsating acid line, but halfway through a utopian string line eases in and shows us the way to the promised land.

Extremely heavy off-label reworking of Steve Reich’s 2X5 (Movement 3, fast) by Ukraine’s Vakula. Comes with a bonus track on the flip. Raw, analogue and organic.

The Oliverwho Factory returns on Rush Hour with their new single ‘Galactic Transit’, a hot slice of raw and sexy Detroit house music.

“Resurrection” is the follow up to the reissue of Virgo (Four)’s S/T album, which was released by Rush Hour in 2010. This album is a collection of unreleased tracks that were produced over a 6 year period between 1984 and 1990 in various home studios around Chicago. These tracks were selected from 100’s of 4-track tapes that had been untouched and unreleased all these years due to local record business politics and disinterest. These demo recordings have been restored and mastered for release. The CD release holds 15 tracks, while the limited edition vinyl box set contains another 15 tracks, totaling a cool 30 tracks.
“Resurrection” really shows the rich, diverse and unique quality of Virgo Four, which leaves you wondering what impact they would have made on the (Chicago) house scene if they would have gotten released back in the day.

Tom Trago will drop his second album this spring, called “Iris”. “Shutters” is thought as a teaser track to whet your appetite and get you in the mood for the long player. “Shutters” is a simmering, soul-drenched and summerish funk tune.

Three tracks that show the original spirit of raw, emotive, jacking music. The A-side, “Everyday Madness” is simply a side long drum machine workout with some added vocal effects, perfect for a DJ tool or just for some late night dancefloor mayhem. The B-side contains two slightly more musical jaunts. “Raw As Fuck” is simply pure urgent party music for dark discoteques, with a perfectly mixed low end bass drum and a glistening sheen. “Soul Train” has a groove and a jack to it, and has a similiar sound to some of the Underground Quality records being released at present. With its farting subs and off-kilter breaks, it’ll be sure to rock your crowd late into set.

‘Voyage Direct’ series presents two mid-tempo heaters from Rednose Distrikt aka Steven De Peven. ‘Get That BeeDeeBee’ is discofied-house music is the stringest Rush Hour tradition, elegant yet dirty, sensuous and hypnotic ‘Dam-style beatdown. ‘I Am Cumming’ pushes up the tempo on the flip, teasing up warmest filtered disco vibes and Detroit-debted soul chords.

KiNK & Neville Watson are back with their 3rd single on Hour House Is Your Rush. Balancing between early Chicago and some techno and early 90’s house bangers the guys deliver.
