Deniro returns back home to his own Tape Records with a warm 4 track Detroit techno EP.

Deniro strikes once more on Amsterdams fabled Tape Records with The Penal Colony. His hypnotizing sound lures in between the first waves of Detroit Techno and the finer bits of contemporary techno. He puts melody above power, depth over effect but proofs to maintain floor heat over and over again.

First solo EP by Interstellar Funk on Tape Records. Driving sinister tracks giving you an eerie sensation of spaciousness supported by subtle melodylines bubbling up and touching you right where it matters.

3rd installement in the Tape Sampler Series. Only local artists again: Deniro, Tape dj’s, Interstellar Funk and Haron & Jeroen.

Three analogue synthesizer tracks by Mark du Mosch. On remix duties, we find French producer Voiski, who brings the title track ‘Amulet’ into overtly darker, techno territories. Comes with silkscreened sleeve by Ruben Verkuylen.

Equally inspiring follow up to Harons debut on Tape Records, this one featuring a brilliant remix by Gifted & Blessed.

Dutch producer Deniro – real name Reynior Hooft van Huysduynen – has long been part of the Tape Records family. Here he returns with two more cuts of straight-up dancefloor techno. “Altavism” is surprisingly spooky, layering tipsy electronics and ghostly loop melodies atop a surging techno groove. Deniro drops the tempo on “Throwback”, offering up a hazy trip into deep, woozy house territory.

2nd installement in the Tape Sampler Series. Again only local artists: Berend & Jeroen, Interstellar Funk, Mark Du Mosch and Deniro.

New Tape release by Amsterdam based Dollkraut. Heavy analogue, drummachine driven house tracks. Influenced by some classic Asian B-flick action, Dollkraut’s long awaited drummachine driven ‘Theme Of Fukoyama’, full of synthesizer layering takes you back into the mid eighties where machines took over. This mini OST to a non-exsistent movie ends with a collaboration together with Bernard Crochet who took care of the analogue synthesizer sequencing of the ‘End Titles’.

First release in the Sampler Series of Tape Records, a young quality label from Amsterdam. Featuring 4 lush techno tracks from various upcoming talents.

“In the autumn of 2009, a chance encounter at an underground party in the city of Leiden (NL) offered us a very first glimpse of the astonishing and talented DJ that is Mark Du Mosch. On numerous occasions ever since, Mark surprised us with his adventurous trackselection, his raw and energetic mixing technique and the way he constantly pushes himself to cross the borders of genres while always maintaining his trademark style. It’s fair to say that no other DJ has left such an overwhelming impression on us as Mark did. Whether or not Du Mosch is as good a producer as he is a DJ is for you to decide. But on this double pack he sure demonstrates the same.” Tape Records

Second release from Amsterdam based label Tape Records. The Smoke & Mirrors EP offers an unique insight into the adventurous mind of Haron, a young and talented Amsterdam-based producer. His debut, best described as strongly layered, boundless, diverse and melodic, is carefully crafted with the utmost devotion.

The first release on Tape Records Amsterdam sounds nothing but colourful, distinctive and hot. This is the debut of Deniro (real name: Reynier Hooft), a young producer who resides in The Hague and only works with vintage synthesizers and drum computers. On the Grey EP he takes you along on an astral trip and indulges you with deep synthesizer leads, shifting pads, clear-cut hi-hats and relentless rhythms. TAPE001 is a deep, but uplifting release. Even though Deniro’s sound is clearly influenced by early techno records, the Grey EP is no tribute but a beautiful example of modern electronic music in true Detroit fashion. The lush, sometimes even Japanese sounding melodies make you dream of deep blue oceans and deserted beaches of far-off tropical islands. But despite of their dreamy character these tracks will definitely work every dancefloor. This is machine soul of the highest calibre.
