2025 Best Tracks part. 3 (of 10)

We start presenting our favorite tracks from 2025. More or less in a chronological order we present here the third set of tracks.

First track from this batch of 10 is a new captivating version of Five Sinners’ ‘Magic‘, skillfully remixed by the talented Italian-Australian DJ-producer Dave Mathmos. This was released on Best Record.

This version of ‘Give Me Back That Love‘ produced by R+L Productions AKA Ron Morelli & Lipelis features an unreleased Robert Owens accapella dug up by R+L Productions and graciously licensed officially from Mr. Owens.

An Arabian Tale‘ comes from the debut album of Greek Synth EBM duo Valisia Odell, released on Detriti Records.

The second track coming from Detriti Records is ‘Crépuscule’ by the queen of Canadian coldwave, Laura Krieg. This song was written by Laura Krieg and Johnny Couteau.

Melting melodies fold and oscillate under the crashing cymbals of “Slack Blabbath” on Bordello a Parigi, staggered synthlines jolted by tight percussion patterns, reflecting Antoni Moiovvi’s influence of the West Coast Sound as well as that machine music of his adopted home of the U.S.

Roseen’s debut on Mojuba sublabel a.r.t.less ‘Conditioning Chamber‘ brings uncompromising, club-ready belters in the finest Detroit Techno manner – relentlessly kicking, timelessly grooving, and delivering minimalistic sci-fi techno escapism of the highest order.

Dallas based producer Decoder lands on Delsin with ‘Neglect‘, a deep, immersive and hypnotic techno track.

Chicago born, Detroit-raised Delano Smith is one of the foundational artists of the contemporary house scenes. In 2023, he revealed he was suffering with a rare form of cancer but as this new EP title suggests ‘It’s not Over‘, he is still here and still crafting high-grade sounds. ‘Rewired’ shuts down the release with real late night delicacy and evocative minimalism.

To celebrate Neroli’s 25th anniversary, the Verona label joined arms with fellow label Mother Tongue to bring a release from the deep vaults of the legendary Chicago producer Glenn Underground. ‘Magic’ (Gherkin Syndrome Mix) is our pick.

Underwater‘ by Tony Johnson delves deep into the world of acid and electronic soundscapes, capturing the raw energy of the early days. This came out on Antwerp label Unlimited Happiness.

More to come. Stay tuned.
