Seph – Rom [AMR010]

The Aula Magna team presents the label’s tenth release, Rom by Seph, featuring Cosmin TRG as remixer. A modern and energetic EP that showcases the artist’s unique techno sound: deep, robust & daring. Lead track Rom kicks off the record in breakbeat manner, an epic cut that twists its sounds progressively through distorted percussive and melodic riffs. This is followed by Cosmin TRG’s tribal take on the title track, a mind-dazzling and hypnotic reinterpretation. Two techno highlights from Seph’s latest live sets thrust the B side even further into the dance floor. Inner warps its solid rhythmic core through swirling dub noise mayhem and P+1 ends the record with a steady synth chord that evolves throughout the track on top of a powerful, stripped down beat.

Eduardo De La Calle – Rosert EP [MNG067]

Eduardo De La Calle presents his new brand, the Monogram Systems. The new and fresh 12inch will be the first reference catalog number on the Monogram Series. Four new solid techno scifi tools especially made for vinyl DJ lovers and dancefloor killers. This time Eduardo has left his imagination, leaving stereotypes and minimalist alucinations to focus on a more technical mode and puristic style in terms of music production. The whole ep is a musical journey based on a concept “modern tools for the current time we are living” and its defining itself.

Steve Summers – Artifical Light [CLEAR004]

The prolific Jason Letkiewicz returns to his Steve Summers alias for a suite of post-apocalyptic jack tracks. Across labels like L.I.E.S., Future Times, Echovolt, Nation and Clone, Letkiewicz spent the last decade exploring dimensional rifts between techno, house, noise, ambient and more. After occupying nearly as many cities as monikers he’s landed in Chicago and on local outpost Clear.

D’Marc Cantu / Rival – Omega Red / Sustain [DRONE010]

D’Marc Cantu’s second release on Drone is an introspective, emotive piece of electro. With it’s deep pads, ‘Omega Red’ provides the soundtrack to a trek through the snowy wastes, never letting up and calling through the night. In contrast, under his Rival alias Cantu delivers ‘Sustain’ a ferocious track with monotonous drum lines that slowly takes you into the night.

VA – Mosaics [EVR010]

Echovolt’s lost and found 10th release is finally out. A beautiful mosaic of six tracks produced by new and old friends hailing from six different parts of the world. From the no-reason unreleased Terekke’s “Sun Salutation” remix, the new Greek producer but old friend of us under the (for the time being) name “Old Man Talkin'”, the first hip hop jam ever released on the label by West Coast’s “Tlim Shug” to the mysterious one-off alias of Sydney’s “Indreamz”. However, this compilation could never be more complete without our new loves that are Australia’s Hugo Gerani (aka John Tanner) and Shea from overseas both of them to be seen in future solo releases!

Glueped – Destiny EP [VM002]

GLUEPED - Destiny EP

Glueped is the collaborative alias of Mihai Mihalcea and Cristi Tudorache, better known as Teluric and Melodie. Already having released with their solo projects on some of the scenes most distinguished imprints, they have joined creative forces once again to put together an EP for Vade Mecum, an already familiar output for Teluric. The result will set you sailing in shifty winds – going from nostalgic to ecstatic, from mystery to comfort and warmth, without losing touch with the dancefloor.

Alek Stark – Blueshifted People [CPU00101100]

STARK, Alek - Blueshifted People (In A Redshifted Neighbourhood)

Alek Stark’s attention to detail in everything he does is particularly apparent in his music – his tracks are all first class analogue electro. He pulls no punches on this E.P. with heavy 808 percussion alongside a myriad of modular noise and synth workouts. Cold, robotic and reminiscent of early Psyche / BFC with deep chorused pads creating an off-world dystopian theme that runs throughout this release.
