French men-of-mystery Polar Inertia describe themselves as a “blurry techno entity”. They’re at their shape-shifting best on Kinematic Optics, a double vinyl excursion that contains their first original material since 2012. They set their stall out with the foreboding, cinematic ambience of the title track (built, incidentally, around an extensive spoken word vocal), before delivering an epic chunk of rolling industrial techno (“Floating Away Fire”). There’s a mournful, melancholic feel to the deep techno throbber “Vertical Ice”, while “Hell Frozen Over” is fittingly dark and murky. The second 12″ contains a recording of previous live performance “Can We See Well Enough To Move On?” in its entirety, with droning textures and glacial electronics guaranteeing a spine-chilling mood.

Deeply Rooted’s new version continues with a 4 tracks EP by Redspecs aka Roman Poncet. Fierce techno tracks from the vital Parisian techno scene. The EP starts with the dark and haunting vibe of 1309S, followed up by Absent: a great Techno groover that builds and builds. On the B side Atanol develops a relentless groove while Interstellaire is more hypnotic.

Liverpool label Scenery Records continues to shine a light on local talent by next turning to Mark Forshaw for a new four track EP. Remixing is the singular Autodidakt Records boss Daniel Andréasson and once again the release showcases a gloopy, analogue heavy house and techno sounds with influences of acid and beyond.

Invincible Scum are here to save you from our once certain fate. A bounty of golden acid and precious gems lies before you. HEAR the mystical 303 weave it’s tales of yonder and FEEL the pounding of the electronic drum deep in your soul….seize the moment and celebrate this day for it is ours! ZTAUR is the fourth of 12 releases from Z O D I A C 4 4. One for each sign of the stars and then Z O D I A C 4 4 is forever dead and gone.

First spotted on Mister Saturday Night in 2014, Nathan Melja delivers here a thumpin’ techno 12” on Black Opal.

Five tracks-worth of low-down heavy funky sound by Life’s Track on this new 12” EP. Smell of Sanctity bounces along powerfully with thick, irresistible beats that sound like they are kept on a short leash.

While the drama continues and we keep fighting the demons of our daily struggle,.. a man from another place locked himself down in a black lodge, conceiving new material to share with the world. 214 isn’t just a number, it’s music from an extradimensional place, high up the North Bend mountains. Frequencies coming from a red room, filled with electronic circuitry parallel connected to our inner soul. Lyle At Dawn is Chris Roman’s third offering for the Frustrated Funk familia. Setting the pace for more to come, as we connect to the Shipwrec multiverse for a full album release to follow shortly after this mind bending EP. You have been warned..

Scape One’s penchant for Sci-Fi is reflected in Recombination; an electronic adventure through space time, stopping briefly for an atomic war. Kurt Baggaley’s vast experience and collection of analogue synthesizers can be heard to full effect with crushing bass, bubbling leads and arpeggiated sweeps throughout. Strong artistic influences on the EP from John Foxx, Vangelis to Autechre (Incunabula-esque). All in all a cocktail for the perfect electro cut.

Antoni Maiovvi makes his Tusk Wax debut with this four tracker of neon tinged sci-fi soundscapes made for high speed chases, robot showdowns and replicant love scenes. Treating fans and newcomers to a sound they’ll surely love, Maiovvi balances between some kind of tech lounge and danceable electro on this soon-to-be sought-after two track vinyl.

Coming off his last record, ‘Nocturne’, Generation Next shows us that he has no plans in slowing down. Even though his last EP was impressive, ‘Ender’ just shows us how much this producer has evolved.

The eight release on Hizou Deep Rooted Music comes from Chicagoan Spirit Of The Black 808. Title-track Infroduction is a shuffling, slo-mo jam laden with atmosphere and groove in the mould of the great Mahogani Music and KDJ, a little more Detroit by design perhaps then, whereas by contrast Electronic Love is downright and unashamedly classic Chicago. Layers of melody and a super-deep groove are stamped all over I FunKd Up, whilst ethereal uptempo tool Rough Joint completes the package.

Inouno is 7 minute house groover that nods to the classic house sound of the 90s, while keeping it modern, soulful and funky.

Benedikt Frey heads this latest offering from the Batti Batti label, teaming up with jonas.san for “Girl From Venus”, which pair the former’s signature raw drums with the latter’s outtakes of muted trumpet. Complementing this, Batti Batti’s own Owen Jay & Melchior Sultana lay down a typically deep atmospheric houser with a few twists and hidden melodies in the shape of title track “Tribal Roots” and the 12″ is further embellished by productions from debutant Lars Behrenroth and Mexican duo Romeo C & Alhan G.

Population One, the legendary project of the Detroit Techno legend, Terrence Dixon, arrives at 30drop to present his new work and unveils the 30drop guest artists release series under the name of: 30drop ExoPlanets. “Time Will Tell” is a conceptual work that exceeds standards. The hypnotic and elegant minimalism of “3.26.2013@11.40pm” harmonic complexity and surrealism jazz of “11.18.2013@1:41am” and “5.26.2012@5.59pm” and the sonic and spatial reverie “12.1.2008@5.48pm” are the four tracks of the EP. Deliciously transgressor, imaginative and ambitious, the work gets into an unexplored territory to the delight of the most avant-garde dance floor.

Gauss Ltd presents the third release called Quadratic Forms EP, produced by Natan H & Owen Jay.
