Marking its ten-year anniversary Dynamic Reflection is set to release Continuum, a collection of five uniquely intertwined EP’s. The special series commemorates the label’s roots, evolution and establishment and honors its residents and friends. The Continuum-series will feature twenty exclusive tracks. The EP’s Sonos, Magno Hyacinthum, Fluctus, Luna Frigus and Terra Nova are planned as part of Continuum. Collectively they become the articulation of a decade of techno. Featuring tracks from Donato Dozzy & Mike Parker, Abstract Division, Deepbass & Ness and Ben Buitendijk, Fluctus represents the third planet in the Continuum-constellation, consisting of five exclusive releases in celebration on the 10th anniversary of Dynamic Reflection.
A Personal Voyage Ep These walls have made us the beings we are. They have listened and echoed, our words, our creed, our hate. These walls have tied down the souls of us; they made us insane, hysterics, in observing defenceless, uncredulous that there was not, any reaction. We can only halt us, after having used up our nails, over these walls now rough because of our shouts, our burned hopes, by our passions damned; by our minds, dinned. None could ever help us, because as slaves we feel and now we are, of these cursed walls and of these walls damned that, however still give a sense, to our cold life.
The fifth installment of the Planet Rhythm Black series includes 3 buldging techno bits Giorgio Gigli and Ness. Leaning towards the more sinister side of techno this record contains everything from off beat rhythms to sinister early morning themes.
For the next release Outis Music has chosen Sardinian artists Claudio PRC and Ness. Both known previously for their solo projects, their collaborations, and also together as “The Gods Planet” they journey deep into remote sides of techno music. The affinity between concepts of their TGP project and Dino Sabatini’s philosophy leads them to make their contribution to the label. “Icore” is an obsessive and straight 4/4 track, where a hypnotic and synthetic arp floats into visceral and noisy atmospheres. Beside the original, Italian artist Nuel give his dry and wild version, as well label boss Dino Sabatini complete the EP with a very deep and transcendental remix.
Field Records is to release a 2CD compilation of music from the labels artists old and new entitled simply, Collection. The imprint keeps up the Dutch tradition of releasing deep, Detroit-inspired electronic music with high-class contributions from various artists. Built on minimalism and modesty, the boutique label has expanded into a consortium for quality since first emerging in 2008. Artists such as Conforce, Delta Funktionen, DJ Sprinkles, Steffi, Mark Du Mosch and many other assured talents have all appeared on the label before now with sounds that range from deep, classically include house to more rough edged and raw techno. It’s much the same case on this expansive new two CD release, which will also be offered up as 3 x vinyl sampler. Across both CDs, established artists rub shoulders with more recently emerging talents and plenty of coherent and creative ground is covered in the exclusive new tracks. Things start off with the grainy ambiance of Sons Of Melancholia’s ‘Theme From The Lake’ before the likes of Delsin’s Unbroken Dub serves up a crawling bit od dubbed out techno, Acronym explores finely planed techno minimalism and Polar Inertia gets all heady and industrial on their ‘Sonic Outlaws’ contribution. Disc 2 starts off with lumpy ambiance before evolving through broken beat pieces, streamlined and stripped back techno and frazzled acid workouts. As a listening experience from start to finish this compilation works perfectly, too, because it never repeats the same trick. Featuring an exquisite selection of tracks by talented artists as well as contemporary favourites, Collection functions as a blueprint of the sound of the Field records label, delving into new geographical and musical territory in style.
“Alpha Centauri, known as Rigil Kentaurus, Rigil Kent, or Toliman, is the brightest star in the southern constellation of Centaurus. Although it appears to the unaided eye as a single object, Alpha Centauri is actually a binary star system (designated Alpha Centauri AB or α Cen AB) whose combined visual magnitude of –0.27 would qualify it as the third single brightest star in the night sky after the –1.46 magnitude Sirius and the –0.72 magnitude Canopus.”This second release of the Grey Series is dedicated to the above mentioned star ‘Alpha Centauri’. Ness uses all his skills and experience to create a soundtrack to describe the atmosphere of three important stages. Drones and metallic sounds that move through space and a mystical universe. Three tracks where you can feel the depth and experience the fear of the unknown.
