Dawl / Moxx – Sector Intermediate [BS03]

Tone Dropout’s finest Dawl delivers on the A-side, two gems with electro influences, like only he can do. On the B-side is Moxx from the Viennese House and Techno label called Yoshi, with his first solo works after the infamous ‘Waves’ EP in 2014.
Boneless One – Dodgy Smiley EP [STX019]

For the 19th output, Snuff Trax welcomes Boneless One from Finland. On the ‘Dodgy Smiley EP’ he does some magic again with his dirty machines and delivers five rough banging cuts.
Shedbug – The Krabben EP [10PILLS009]

Shedbug rips into 2019 with a shell-hardened, cave-crushing, dystopian 5-track crabmageddon EP. Crammed to the brim with scorched acid, crunchy electro and flame-throwered techno tropes. Belting bizz from down under, cooked at the afters and topped up with heaps of poppers & liquor for good measure.
Exhausted Modern / CCO – Interaction Nr 1: Internal Reflection [EL003]

Electronic Leatherette is back with third release. Internal reflection is 4 track split EP which contains two melancholic autumn-techno tracks from Exhausted Modern on incidence side and two acid anthems from CCO as refraction.
Matt Whitehead & No Data Available present Manor House Boys – Temple Of Set EP [SRTX025]

For this outing on Super Rhythm Trax, Matt Whitehead is joined by No Data Available to come with something super special. ‘Sahara’ and ‘Temple Of Set’ conjure strong images that match their respective titles with the mood alternating between majestic and mystical. These two tracks are sandwiched by the hypnotic and acidic tendencies of ‘Full Resonance’ and ‘Panic In Flat 13’.
Dibek – Frantic [VIGRAM002]

Second Vigram installment brings us producing artist Dibek, who is half of Vienna’s electro/techno group /DL/MS/. Dibek explores some Spesimen-style electro on the A-Side, and goes into more bouncy and weird acid jack territory on the flip.
VA – RM241218 [RM241218]

The yearly compilation by R.a.n.d. Muzik Recordings, this time with the lizard wizard Reptant, his close friend Lou Karsh, Leipzig newcomer, Tim Schlockermann and a very special re-release of CRC’s ‘Influence Device 001’, originally released on the amazing Leipzig label, Zyntax Motorcity in 2009.
Exhausted Modern – Happy Hertz Club Banned [RET004]

Exhausted Modern part of the Endless Illusion crew from Prague joins Rotterdam Electronix with a 5 tracker ranging from Electro to wave-ish Techno. The EP kicks off with an extended acid injected electro track called ”All Things Are Possible”. Second track ”Transgas” continues this threatment for the A side. The flip has a more darker perspective with flanged hi hats and eerie atmosphere. ”Defenestrace” contains a strange vox going over the track from the beginning, it then quickly gains power by its dubbed out framework. The days of EBM and newbeat comes to mind when we hear ”Straight Folded” which sounds like its recorded straight on a tape in the mid 80’s. Last not least ”Very Fake News” closes things of, with a driving kick-bassline and shattering snares causing pleasure on the dancefloor.
Posthuman – The Snake Bites Twice [CKNOWEP13]

Blistering rave and acid by the notorious Posthuman duo – taking it up a notch or two on the energy meter when compared with their slomo-acid approach to many of their preceding records.
Too Smooth Christ – TSC 1 [AVA016]

TSC 1 is Too Smooth Christ’s first release on AVA. Records. Five fine dance tracks straight from Paris, great for every occasion.
Northern Powerhouse – Northern Powerhouse [NP006]

Northern Powerhouse kick things into gear on their sixth release with snarling and grizzly analogue bass on the A and machine heavy percussion and distorted tones on the flip. One for dark rooms and deafening sound systems
Marcello Napoletano – Out The Flat [OTF001]
Do or Die – Impossible Materia [MOJ09]

Last year, Spanish analogue freak Do Or Die impressed with debut album “Alien GF”, a nine-track romp through intergalactic acid, techno and electro pastures. “Imposible Materia” offers up his first new material since and is similarly impressive. Head first for “Lost”, a bustling, all-action affair rich in fizzing riffs, weird noises, classic Motor City chords and wiggly acid lines, before losing yourself in the hypnotic, minor key motifs, broken techno beats and unsettling stabs of “DX100”. Sci-fi loving acid freaks will devour the psychedelic TB-303 lines, rumbling Michigan bass and punchy drum machine hits of opener “Conciencia Sucia”, while closing cut “In Time” offers a warm, groovy, tactile and suitably shuffling conclusion to another superb Do Or Die release.
Mantra – Blackout [PT013]

Polybius Trax present another three track EP from Mantra showcasing a variety of acid styles. Opening track, Blackout, is a solid, no-nonsense acid techno workout, perfect for a strobe filled warehouse, and features builds and drops layered with ethereal tones. Emanation is a maelstrom of moving synth sounds, bouncing delay lines and vocal-like klaxons that combine to disorientate the listener. Final track, Mirage is a classic bad attitude acid track with an unnerving acid line that weaves in and out of aggressive percussive lines.
Cardopusher – Muscle Memory [DE233]

Born in Venezuela and based in Barcelona, Luis Garban aka Cardopusher has spent the last decade creating a wide variety of noisy dancefloor assaults. Although his roots lie in the breakcore scene, he’s slowly gravitated toward a raw, electro-infused take on techno that is no less compelling. Dark Entries presents a new 6-track EP titled ‘Muscle Memory’ that takes the listener on a deep and gritty ride through his diverse sound, from techno to electro, acid, rave and house.
Posthuman – Mutant City Acid [BV29]

First full length from Posthuman in eight years. Named from, and created as a companion piece to the (completely sold out) Mutant City Acid series on Balkan Vinyl. Inspired by classic computer games such as ‘Syndicate’, ‘Flashback’ and ‘Beneath A Steel Sky’, it is written as the soundtrack to a journey through a near-future dystopian city, awash in the glow of neon skyscrapers. Digging into the weirder side of acid techno and electro, this is still an album for the dancefloor but with one eye on the darker corners of the room. Pressed on completely random coloured vinyl – red, green, yellow, blue -.some marbled, some faded, some solid, some translucent – the first time this has ever been done. The entire pressing process was video livestreamed from the plant with engineers answering questions in the chat (again, a first). Comes in a full colour gatefold sleeve adorned with retro pixel art.
Sepehr – Body Mechanics [DE226]

Dark Entries comes with a 6-track EP from San Francisco based DJ, producer, and remixer Sepehr Alimagham. The San Jose native has been a fixture in the Bay Area house and techno scene for quite a while now, on the dance-floor, behind the decks, in the studio, or all of the above. In 2017 he began performing live PA sets, utilizing his immense production backlog to perform vivid and electric sets, from potent dance music to psychedelic and esoteric soundscapes. ”Body Mechanics” is six tracks of acid drenched dance music that ebb and flow from floor filling club thumpers to more cerebral soundscapes. Inspired by the new wave of the acid sound as well as nostalgia from his formative years in the San Francisco music scene, ‘Body Mechanics’ takes a functional, yet psychedelic approach to 303 styled techno and electronica.
