Hotmix Records welcomes Florian Kupfer with a monster acid release of white ten inch vinyl.

PLONC Hits! 001 peaks like the Fichtelberg in the Harz mountains in Germany. A1 is every smiley face’s fantasy, bass-loaded acid with a majestic bump, followed by the most classic Chicago old-skool. B-side takes a quick detour into the ‘90s with the first track, only to return to a laid back acid groove that ultimately kicks you into low earth orbit.

Beraber returns to United Identities with Gentle Actions, setting the tone for long summer evenings and sun-soaked days. The Amsterdam based producer and DJ organically blends Chicago’s classically-schooled keys and machine backdrops with subtle, atmospheric textures. 6-track house finesse topped off with a killer remix by Brazilian artist Zopelar.

Deep, raw and straight to the soul – Igaxx is back with a killer EP on Phonogramme. ‘Time To Move’ is made for late-night sessions and deep dancefloor trips.

Original Chicago house music hero Ron Hardy used to make and break tracks with ease. Decades on, we’re still getting treated to them with this ongoing series and the latest opens up with a familiar sound. ‘Love’ is fairly stripped of its original vocals and is a casuistic, textured and intense electronic disco cut for peak times. ‘The Night’ slows down with some freaky vocals and heavy dub disco drums then ‘1-5-1’ brings some jacked up acid house with monstrous 303 lines ripping up the groove and ice cold hi-hats keeping time. ‘The Bass’ is a raw drum track with moody Windy City vocals and dark energy.

The notorious R-A-G team up once again on their homebase M>O>S to present four of their excellent acidic deephouse affairs. The whole squad featuring Aroy Dee, MaSpaventi and G-String giving a perfect representation of their long going Amsterdam studio sessions.

Jerome Hill again delivers treats for the dancefloor, keeping things typically underground and raw, channeling elements from all over into this peach of an EP.

Dark distorted acid, on and on 808 rhythm tracks and swinging 909’s. Zopelar for president! The Brazilian Jackmaster delivers a 6 track ep adding some samba to the Chicago influenced jack tracks.

NYC’s underground producer Sweater On Polo back on the machines for the first release on Signal Route. “Mechanical Confusion” favors the techno and basement house approach of early 90’s Chicago innovators found on labels such as Dance Mania, Relief Records, and Saber Records. His style and approach carry a familiar old school angst, creating an intergenerational dialogue between the now and then. Going from acid house, to techno, and then synth punk, this 6 track EP captures the relentless range of the young artist.

Chicago legend DJ Sneak once again brings his House Music magic and savoir-faire to Parisian Label “Frappé”, with Disko Dialogue EP. This 5-tracker is a new display of Sneak’s unrivalled flair and raw energy when it comes to making badass beats to make you bounce.

Analogue pressure from BufoBufo in the new Cabaret Recordings release. His second single for the Japan label, founded by So Inagawa and DJ Masda, proffers a hypnotic blend, binarising the mood with the sliding melodes of ‘Watercourse’ and ‘Armour Plated’ with comparatively sparse and gritty perc-slaps of ‘Wood Ant’ and ‘Cinnabar’. That strange but difficult-to-nail split between of hypnotic intrigue and immediacy is well and truly nailed.

Acid Jerks on Flaneurecordings with some 80’s and 90’s inspired house music, powerful and stylistically confident.

Non Stop Rhythm presents a new release featuring one track written & produced by Stereotype aka Gabo Rio and a remix by label boss Tom Carruthers.

Kléo’s second release Acid Coolada is a meticulous blend of deep, groove-heavy acid house elements with a spontaneous flair and live instrumentation, striking the perfect balance of fiery heat and warm groove.

Roma techno legend Marco Passarani dusts off his Studiomaster moniker to present a selection of vibey dancefloor burners on 12” vinyl brimming with energy and packed with 303 squelch, thumping drums, moody synths and perfectly-placed vocal cuts.

The latest House of Underground 12″ presents a brilliant collaboration between UK legend DMX Krew and French young blood DVDE. Including 2 vocal featurings by none other than the iconic Fingers vocalist Robert Owens.

DimDJ makes a welcome return on Gated for a second EP of acid-inflected hardware tracks, showcasing a range of sounds, from mid-tempo arpeggiated opener ‘Next On Next’, followed by the faster Detroit electro-influenced ‘The Path’, and low-end bothering ‘Cashe’ on the A side. The B leads with the rather lovely ’10th Of May’, which in our book is basically a summer-soaked Balearic house track, followed by the experimental acid techno of ‘Crash’, before ‘Ampi 00 Pattern’ winds down the EP in pensive ambient style.

Windy City – which is of course the colloquial name for Chicago, the US house hotbed – serves up a pair of dazzling minimal acid excursion, with a bit of Italo aesthetic, for NYC. ‘Acid Wash’ is laced with 303 lines and has jacked-up broken beats, silvery percussion and plenty of cosmic charm to get floors rocking. On the flip, ‘Acid Dry’ then strips things back to some loopy snares and roaming pads, all with another crisp electro rhythm down low.

Innershades comes with a follow up on his Clone Jack For Daze debut from 2019 with his buddy Betonkust. This time he digs in the local history from his homebase Belgium. The country that brought us the New Beat craze which had its breeding grounds in club’s such as Boccaccio. A venue which used to be one of the prime locations in the Benelux to hear the latest House and Techno releases in ’89,’90 and ’91. All the fresh new sounds from Chicago, Detroit, the big New York labels and producers, Early UK rave and of course the local producers from the Benelux. This Homage EP brings a collection of tracks drenched in bleepy acid lines, topped with choir pads and slightly detuned slowly phased chords and dominant mixed bass sections. Energetic tracks that capture the spirit of those days with a contemporary touch from Innershades. Tracks that fit perfectly to the Clone Jack For Daze series inspired by these early days, where people danced for daze on all these energetic and futuristic sounds from the underground.
