Very dark and menacing and heavily-pounding industrial techno/electro planet rock by Ekman on Panzerkreuz.

First release for I.vy on her own label Chinese laundry. The delicate task is entrusted to the producer, which presents herself for the first time ever with a release of her own, not surprisingly titled “Vol I”. A careful work, a well illustrated journey, where the four cardinal points are 4 originals marked by a bass line sound that seems to come from a TB 303 just dusted off by a deposit of Mr. Ikutaro Kakehashi .

A gorgeous 6-tracker by Norwegian techno/electro/acid artist Retape. The EP takes off where Drexciya and related projects such as The Other People People Place left it in the early 2000s. The title track takes it away and is the most technoid of all with a driving bassline and open hi-hats while long stretched melodies finish it off; this one sucks you onto the dance floor as if it were one big whirlpool. The second cut “Coir” is a serene a downtempo 4/4 track that gets you overwhelmed with an otherworldly melody sneakily coming in about midway. “EMN” then, pulls you straight underwater with its hard hitting snares, plastic bassline and acid feel. The tempo goes up with “Cars”, a delay-heavy spaced out acid track for unstable dance floors. The following track “Rotation” is a beatless excursion into the world of clinical synthesized sci-fi music. The incorrectly named “Moving Down” is the final track and a true upper: high speed melodic electro with a touch of melancholia.

Femminielli Noir continue their tour-de-force with some hard hitting rhythms on Malas Influencias. Acid drenched basslines squiggle within your soul like a demented and unhinged drug binge. Heavy warehouse style reverberation adds to the madness, echoing deep and large, like metallic structures being destroyed. Seeking pain in pleasure, this is your only choice. 12” varnished 350g premium quality paper sleeve, with obi strip printed on vellum paper.

Wrong Island returns with yet another big hitter, welcoming Automatic Tasty to the fold with a 7 track mini-LP. The record starts with a Cassette Boy style attack on the emptiness of daytime TV before firing into a half hour of psychedelic acid house. From the bleepy funk of A Public Service Announcement to the all-out acid assault of Cheers Curtis this record is like what we think Drexciya would have sounded like if theyd written tracks about the hills and fields of Ireland instead of underwater kingdoms, this is perfect summertime music as good for drinking cider in the Sun as it would be for the dancefloor.

Marc Pinol and Hugo Capablanca join forces to channel their shared love for Psychic TV, industrial music and New Beat through 2 murky club tunes.

Dark raw pulsating acid techno that reminds a lot of old Acid Planet releases from the mid 90’s. 6 track ep on the US label Hot Recordings. Outsider techno realized via modular synth, drum machine, stress by Andrew Peterson of legendary NC noise duo Yohimbe, existing within a similar milieu as Frak and Unicorn Hard-On.

Delta Funktionen with the first release on his own imprint. Four times 808 power combined with deep Moog basses. Riding a thin line between techno and house with a touch of electro.

Following on from DJ Stingray’s 2013 Weaponized EP (TSAR001), Swedish vererans Frak Step up for TSAR002, delivering a record of analogue black acid magic.

Delft 002 welcomes another new name to the fold: it’s been four long years since the last officially released original JPLS material but the wait was worth it, with the producer making his Delft debut with ‘Fall Off Distance’, an acid techno nuclear weapon that’s been causing panic when dropped on isolated testing sites thus far. Label boss LA-4A subtly reshapes the original into a more streamlined techno monument on the B1, while longtime JPLS fans will be pleased to discover the producer at his weird & sinister best with the B2, ‘Remove’.

Two brand new mutant acid house tracks on Mannequin Records. DUST is a contemporary ouroboros of acid house, combat techno, and late italo, headquartered at infamous psychedelic/art/techno mansion Trip House in the jungles of Deep Bushwick.

For its first album project, Shipwrec is to release a new full-length album from pioneering electronic producer DMX Krew entitled “Shape Shifting Shaman” with colourful artwork by Doppeldenk. Ed DMX is best known for releasing six albums on Aphex Twin’s Rephlex Records and for spanning styles from breakbeat to techno to electro. He has already released two EPs on the four-year-old Dutch label Shipwrec and now returns with a full-length opus that proves, more than twenty years after first emerging, that few people are as sonically inventive as him. Of the album, DMX Krew says “I feel like these tracks are more original and have a stronger feeling of my personality in them. When I finished each of these tracks I had a happy feeling that I had done something true to myself and something that represents my best”. Reporting that he is always making and releasing music but tends to save back his best tracks for a full length project, Shape Shifting Shaman is just that – a collection of all killer material with great cover design and excellent mastering.

Simon aka Birth of Frequency is back on board for his second EP on the label. With four tracks he shows us different aspects of his talent as techno maker. Windy City is a relentless acid loop, with straight and sharp rythm parts. The kind of track you can play for a very long time. Bad Tempered is a proper techno, hypnotic and powerful : perfect to maintain a tangible tension on the dancefloor. Huron will complete the destruction with a frantic and aggressive synth / hats duo. Newcomer, comes from the ground with a sticky and heavy atmosphere .
