Ofelia Ortodoxa return’s to Athenian label Dystatik with “Basics For Sadness”, a cassette release inluding rescued tracks and ideas from old cassette recordings and new collaborations with Valanais (track 1&3) and Ferdinand Carclash (track 4). “Basics For Sadness” is a uses a powerful Minimal Synth and Dark Wave aesthetic with a certain nostalgic feel.

kama muta or otherwise “thrill of love” is a a duo from Thessaloniki consisting of tristixia and sofia spyridonidou. With a combination of poetry and music, kama muta creates post-punk and darkwave compositions. In dance rhythms of darkwave music dressed in a raw realism, they released a new single titled “they don’t ask anyone”, portraying their concerns about forest fires. “the voices burned” is a concept album which is expected to be released in the fall of 2023. Cult Argentinian darkwave act Euroshima’s Gala sees a vinyl reissue courtesy of Dark Entries. Euroshima was formed in 1986 by Fabián Iribarne, José Wyszogrod, Ricardo Parrabere, and vocalist Wanda. Originally released in 1987 on Polygram, Gala was a success throughout South America. But to the band’s dismay, they received minimal support from the record label, which meant the album would linger in obscurity outside of the region. This reissue is co-presented with Twilight Records.
