Onirico vs Man-D.A. – Unreleased Series 2 [FFORUS002]

Flash Forward release another beautiful gem from the italian producer Emanuele Luzzi aka Onirico and Oneiric. For the first time after 26 years, Flash Forward is been issuing the alternate take version of a 1991 UMM gem by Onirico, ”Tribal Echo”, a hypnotic-tribal-surreal tone recorded live into the DAT tape, a new terrific version of one of Onirico most exciting tracks. Listening to it, you could enter some kind of trip through the darkness, a very emotional journey in which imagine the sunset rhythm fighting with flashing shadows, the neverending battle between good and evil. As in the first issue, the other side is produced by Man-D.A. , ”Not A Dream” was also conceived many years ago but only today is released after being revised, modified and remastered.

Otakhee – Floating On / Inhale [SYNCRO-OTK01]

Otakhee is a unique and creative musician from South Korea with his own broad musical spectrum. Recognized first with his psychedelic-avantgarde jazz album “Smoked Jazz” released in 2012, he surprised the scene again in 2015 with an abstract hip-hop album, “Psychedelic Weather”. His unique soundscape with elements of minimalism and industrial music along with the veteran emcee M.E.D. created the album’s own esthetics, nowhere else to be found. After the release of “Psychedelic Weather”, he expressed his interest in dance music, especially in deep house and techno.

Aleks – Pool Daze [OA005]

Rising talent Aleks joins the Organic Analogue realm of spiritual sonic exploration. The Amsterdam-based producer has already made a name for himself in the past few years with his penchant for sci-fi imagery and impeccable hardware jams, hence he feels like a natural fit for OA. This double LP release provides the chance to hear some of the breadth in Aleks productions, from ambient submersions to Detroitian techno and sharp edged 303 resonance that skirts the divide between jacking club material and emotional content. HVL returns to OA with a frankly stunning remix of “Pool Daze” that steps up to the giants of early electronica. As an additional treat, the Georgian producer has also donned his Kiyadama guise for the eight-minute psych-out “Acid Expansion Remix” of “Void”. Capturing the foggy time-slip quality of the dancefloor with a sound that could just as easily come from the late morning, the Pool Daze LP is equally comfortable as another thread in the OA tapestry.

Tracey – Testarossa [VD32]

Experienced Dutch producer Tom Ruijg rightly won praise for his first 12” as Tracey, Skyfall, which surfaced on Voyage Direct in early 2017. Combining elements seemingly inspired by vintage Detroit futurism, ‘90s ambient techno and his own love of colourful synthesizer melodies, the EP saw Tracey set out his stall in impressive fashion.

Stephen Lopkin – Southside Engineering [BK016]

Stephen Lopkin’s singular doses of electro-tinged house music have pretty much become Glasgow’s ‘finest”. While everyone else is out snoozing to some deep house and mild-mannered tech, this dude packs a punch each and every time he drops a new release onto our charts. Just in time for the year’s end, Lopkin drops Southside Engineering on the sublime Bokhari imprint, and these five metallic dance bombs are enough to make any serious Drexcyia fan think that, yes, there might be a way forwards after all! Full of adrenaline and electrifying swing, you can count on this gear to keep you up and running all night long – even the Ikpathua remix of “Light From Light” has its own particular way of expressing energy and a solid groove.

Twenty years after the Sonar Base 4 – 10 release on the legendary Dutch record label U-Trax, it is now time for an official high quality remastered vinyl re-issue on Deeptrax Records. The rare original was very hard to find and is considered as one of the highlights of Dutch electro and techno. The Dutchman Frank de Groodt a.k.a Sonar Base is hitting hard with a perfect blend of 70 minutes of aquasonic electro, intergalactic boogie and deep techno. This bass oriented, mind bending album is considered one of The Netherlands best kept secrets and has been a fave amongst connaisseurs, selectors and DJs around the globe for many years. A real post apocalyptic gem from Utrecht that is as fresh and sharp as it was originally released 20 years ago. The tracks are full bodied, muscular pieces of electro and techno with hidden melodies and savage beats upon clever bass lines.
