Soft Crash – Your Last Everything [BITE023]
Soft Crash is the collaborative project of two Italo Body Music trailblazers: BITE founder – Phase Fatale, and one of the label’s protagonists – Pablo Bozzi. United by a mutual passion for a particular melancholic yet sensual approach, and a sound that combines influences of synthwave, EBM, Italo and techno, the two have proved themselves to be a perfect match with ‘Spritzkrieg’ (2020) – their first EP on BITE. This time, Soft Crash present their first long player ‘Your Last Everything’. The album further expands the Italo Body Music palette into electro, acid house, bleep, hi-nrg, and IDM. Each of the eight tracks on the LP sounds layered and intricate, with a variety of interactions between different technical elements and intertwining melodies that reference high production methods from the 80s and 90s turned contemporary. The album centers itself around themes of dystopian cyberpunk and surreal cinematics. It looks to invoke emotion in cold and mechanical elements, making it feel like an organic new chapter in the duo’s ongoing exploration of the relationship between technology and the body.
Heap – False Hope [ISLA32]
Over the past decade, Vienna-based Florian Stöffelbauer – also known as Heap, has built a consistent reputation as a skilled DJ, producer and Neubau’s label head. Isla presents his latest effort “False Hope” which explores the intersections between industrial, electro and dark wave – all with a leftfield twist. As diverse as it is powerful, the 7 tracks featured here almost feel like nocturnal tales, chalking out Heap’s observations wandering through the streets of a silent city, with cigarette smoke permeating the air and sirens ringing in the distance.
Helena Hauff – Living With Ladybirds [FRO003]
German DJ Helena Hauff and ‘Return to Disorder’ label owner was the first female to be named BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix of the year in 2017. Helena’s focus has always been on productions and DJing making her characteristic gnashing electro, acidic techno and chugging EBM tunes and sets her focus ahead of the limelight and fame that so many court. Hauff’s background comes from fine art, maths, physics and acoustics meaning her creative flair is perfectly expressed through the coaxing of weighty club sounds from her machines. With ‘Living With Ladybirds’ Hauff lays down four EBM-infused tracks recorded in her method of using strictly analogue equipment. There’s the eccentric electro of ‘Jonas’, the travelling melody behind ‘Your Turn To Fly’, the stripped down pulsing techno of ‘Touching Plastic’ and the rich rolling acid techno of ‘Pinch’.
VA – Sailor Of Wrong Era Volume Three [WEDIGIT007]
“Volume Three” of the compilation on Slow Motion’s international sister label Wrong Era: “Sailor of Wrong Era”, named after the infamous Berlin boat parties that became a true happening in Summer 2021, is finally here. Ten tracks comprising the very own Wrong Era style, crafted by renowned veteran artists and upcoming international talents from all around the globe.

Tresor Records announce forthcoming special editions of its entire catalogue of Drexciya and related projects. 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the passing of James Stinson and the releases of the Transllusion and Shifted Phases albums. In recognition, the rightsholders, their families, and the label have commissioned Detroit-based contemporary artist Matthew Angelo Harrison to re-conceptualize the covers of Tresor’s Drexciya-related catalogue. On November 11 are cominng ‘Harnessed The Storm’ and ‘Digital Tsunami’.

Volta Cab – Bundesautobahn 98 EP [LUBREE001]
Lubree revisits the original motif of Hypress with luminous calculation, launching a series of new releases in the near future. Thus, the first release features electro ballads dipped in gentle rawness along with disco bangers and EBM-styled acid house. The original tracks are produced by “Volta Cab” and the remixes by Rotterdam’s DJ Overdose and Venezuelan-born and Barcelona-based DJ/producer Cardopusher.
Exhausted Modern – Notions of Causality EP [BT68]
Ladislav Zensor returns for a 3rd EP on the brokntoys label with Notions of Causality. The Czech producer showcases his trademark atmospheric electronics, soundtracking a world on the verge of collapse. The EP is completed by a remix by d&b producer Overlook.
Israel Padilla – Control De Vidrios [BNS010]
Israel Padilla is back to his own label Banshees Records with “Control De Vidrios”, a darkness-embedded eight-track release featuring six originals and two remixes by Skelesys & Larionov. Expect a nervy combination of Electro, EBM, Industrial, Cold Wave, Electronica and Techno.
Versalife – Chronoception [VIS334]
Following the epic dystopian LP ‘Manifold’ Versalife returns with his second album on 20/20 Vision ‘Chronoception’. The accomplished Dutch producer Boris Bunnik aka Conforce delves deep into the cosmic abyss with 8 auditory adventures laced with shadowy tones, deep base and robotic funk.
Matti Turunen – Radau [CELTD011]
Matti Turunen with a new EP on Cultivated Electronics vinyl-only series, Cultivated Electronics Ltd. For his ‘Radau’ EP on CE Ltd he turns up the Electro-funk to the max with lush arrangements, dulcet melodies and gritty beats – there’s a warmth in the machines.

The Nightstalker – Genetic Constitution LP [CHILDSIXTEEN]
The return of The Nightstalker, a Childhood Intelligence endeavor written/produced by Dan Piu & Gary Rich (2022). The second album “Genetic Constitution” is the sequel of “The Tragedies Of A High-Tech World” (2020), in which The Nightstalker continues to manifest its mystic dystopian electronic prophecies. Full of haunted melodies, cinematic compositions and passages of hope and despair.
Gravity Waves – Satellite LP [CRTSX009]
The ninth release on Curtis Electronix catalogue is from the new collaborative project where Kalean, Z.I.P.P.O and CEM3340 join forces under the name of Gravity Waves. The project is a reflection of the bond developed over a bunch of jam sessions down at the Curtis’ basement, where they discovered to orbit similar spaces. As the title may suggest the sound is deeply rooted in the Detroit side of the electro utopia, with that heady and atmospheric approach.Satellite LP is a seven tracks Album where they combine moments of sub-aquatic and evocative synth works with dancefloor heavyness excursions which level of composition reveals a clear and undoubted mastery of the machines. All tracks are recorded and mixed in Bari, South of Italy.

EDO8 aka Mr. Portamento, part of Doubledutch and half of the Cosmic Force (who had their debut on Clone Records in 1998!). EDO8 comes back with solo work on the Clone West Coats Series. After years of relative silence the dutch electro master hits back hard with this funked up 6 tracker of pure machine funk. Techno, House and Electro rooted in the classics…. the undoubtable influences of early Detroit techno, Kraftwerk and 80’s electro are present and stirred to a unique blend which results in EDO8’s signature sound carefully developed and crafted over the last 25 years.

French Sailing Captain had to stop on Parisian shores of Les Yeux Orange to refuel before extending his electronic journey. He teams up here with legendary producer The Advent, delivering “Computer Monkey”, a concept EP coming with relentless lyrics about egocentrism on social networks. Two awesome remixes by electro cult artists Legowelt and DMX Krew round up the package made of crystal transparent copies with pixel art full color sleeves.
