Hailing from Holland, Monocorpse serves dark electronix/techno. Extremely minimal, raw and primitive in sound and the tracks are ritual and occult in orientation and mood. Think of the previous Gooiland Elektro releases by Drvg Cvltvre and Ekman but stripped down to the essence and pitch black.
FOQL belongs to the same Polish electronic music collective as Marburg, but the sound of this project is truly different. Hypatia EP is delicate and even fragile maybe… It has the ritual feeling like some of the music by Coil has, and fuses ambient, electronix and techno in the same way Kobosil can do. Rude 66 does not need an introduction… This Dutch acid and electro veteran has been around for a long time. Being part of the old school acid scene from The Hague with releases on legendary label Acid Planet and he is one of the originals (again) when it comes to the new wave of electro in the late 1990’s. ‘Exploitation’ is the new film by Dutch independent filmmaker Edwin Brienen. Enfant Terrible produced the soundtrack for this gothic-noir satiric fresco. 90 minutes of music to be enjoyed both as true soundtrack as well as a sequel to previous Enfant Terrible compilations… but more dramatic and ritualistic in the way the record is building up. It will please fans of minimal electronics and (post) industrial music but also moves into different styles such as idm, tekno, angst pop and chanson, while always keeping a dark and cold mood and/or dream state feeling throughout.
This record is a soundtrack for excentric nightlife, bringing back to life images of wild parties at artists workspaces in Paris in the 1920’s, early mornings in Belgian nightclubs in the late 1980’s and driving classic Italian sports cars during long hot summer nights.
