Garofano Rosso – Titoli Di Coda [GDLP006]

Garofano Rosso’s triumphant return to Giallo Disco comes in the form of his debut album ‘Titoli Di Coda’. A bloodied trip to the microcosm of a doomed city, a neon-noir at the corner of Gordon & Cole, where old cellar doors slam like gated snares and justice comes with a bullet. In between krautrock funk, straight up-crime solving disco and instrumental ballads almost gothic like in their epicness, the artist also known as Giorgio Luceri, whose releases on Mathematics have been turning heads for many years, births this daring and impressive debut that we’re immensely proud to release on Giallo Disco.

Collins – Autophobia [GD020]

Collins’ debut 12″ on Giallo Disco is dark as night and sharp as a knife. Twisted electro-nightdrive stormers for revenge fantasies and futurist cyberpunk sex dungeons, dreamlike replicant discotheques or if the Boccaccio Club existed in Liquid Sky. Remix duties come from Giallo Disco favourite Protector 101 who takes ‘Signature Ligature’ into heavy synth territory peaking into blown out electronic doom.

Ali Renault – Keeper Of The Seven Keys [GD019]

Giallo Disco returns from hiding all summer, taking comfort in the encroaching darkness with a very special EP from Ali Renault. ‘Keeper Of The Seven Keys’ includes three tracks of cosmified aphex bliss, where pan pipes are the sound of death whistles and hats scatter like falling shells. The sky is falling and it sounds amazing. Closing up the EP is a italo-tech remix by Antoni Maiovvi.

Repeated Viewing – Street Force (Soundtrack) [GDLP005]

Repeated Viewing’s soundtrack to the “not totally sure if it’s real or not” film of the same name slinks out of your speakers as if Badalamenti and Goblin had made sweet regretful love one night and created a baby so dark and brooding, only the ‘Trv Synth Fr33ks’ would take it in and raise it like wolves. Following the story of one man’s revenge across 1982 New York, this is Death Wish if we lived in some kind of alternative universe where Lucio Fulci had directed it instead of Michael Winner. From Ballads to Disco to Minimal Synth, “Street Force” is a masterpiece of faux soundtrack bliss and definitely not to be missed.

Bogdan Drazic / Daniel Kyo – Black Gloves II [GD017]

Black Gloves II (the sequel to the Vercetti & Maiovvi split from 2012) comes roaring from the grave, like what if Satan himself had a neat motorbike that was on fire and went fast. Real fast. Heading up the release is newcomer Bogdan Drazic, crunched up horn and elephant blaring freak-house and EBM, perfect for Zombie clearance raids. In the Amazon. At night. The gates of hell are open and I couldn’t possibly describe what’s climbing out. Last but by no means least is the Valencian hero Daniel Kyo, perhaps the true heir to the throne of the real Sonido De Valencia, spaced out and cosmic with layers of emotion and sinister atmospherics. They sleep, we live.

Antoni Maiovvi – Autoguerra [LURID005]

Giallo Disco dark overlord Antoni Maiovvi delivers a sprawling italo beast that will conquer all your inhibitions. On the flip, Lucas Savidis of the Rattler Proxy delivers a remix reminiscent of Badalamenti on acid.

Ketsueki Sākuru – Blood Meridian [GD016]

By Giallo Disco standards, Blood Meridian is something of a curveball. Produced by debutant Ketsueki Sakuru, it cleverly combines the label’s usual synthesizer horror influences with percussion programming that draws inspiration from the throbbing worlds of EBM and New Beat. It’s a blend that works wonderfully well, from the bubbling, rising synthesizer lines and hypnotic rhythms of “The Judge”, to the cacophonous, slo-mo throb of “The Necklace” (all tactile chords and ricocheting drum hits), via the dark pulse of smack-jacker “The Judge”. Arguably best of all, though, is “The Kid”, which sounds like a pitched-down hook-up between John Carpenter and Nitzer Ebb.

H ø R D ‎- Focus On Light [GDLP004]

Here at Giallo HQ we first noticed H ø R D whilst searching for tracks for the fictitious Wild In Blue Ost, and his music has gone on to be some of the best we’ve ever heard, so much so that we jumped at the chance to release the debut album by this incredible artist. Eight Reverb-Soaked Urban-Gothic Melancholic songs, between synth-shoegaze and violent EBM, Focus On Light is a beautiful heartbreaking LP that will resonate strongly with fans of Pornography-era The Cure, Joy Division and classic Nine Inch Nails.

Chris Alexander – Music For Murder [GDLP003]

Journalist turned producer Chris Alexander is something of a hive-mind of information when it comes to obscure horror film music, so it’s perhaps unsurprising that his new album sounds like a pitch-perfect tribute to synthesizer-heavy, Italian “Giallo” soundtracks, and the horror-disco style perfected by John Carpenter. It’s made up of tracks Alexander wrote and released – usually via obscure, CD-R only labels – over the last decade. More importantly, Murder Music is actually rather good, with Alexander offering a perfect balance between clandestine synthesizer motifs, panicked beats, clanking industrial textures, hypnotic guitar lines, and chords that seem to creep up from behind.

Mater Suspiria Vision – Antropophagus Remixes EP [GD015]

For those not in the know Mater Suspria Vision are one of last remaining first wave of Witch House, proceed without prejudice, MSV were a truly bizarre one of a kind group. Combining Cosmic style with early Krautrock experimentation, bootleg VHS and a wild sense of humour, MSV have been one of our favourite groups for a long time. We’ve taken their last LP Antropophagus and run it through the Giallo Disco filter, featuring remixes by Xander Harris, Parasols AKA Ali Renault, Antoni Maiovvi and Vercetti Technicolor.

UBRE BLANCA - The Sadist

Picking up the studded gauntlet thrown down by such luminaries as Heldon, Goblin, Zombi and Simon Boswell comes Glaswegian duo Ubre Blanca. Five tracks of Gothic Distopia with an occult leaning matched only by the legends that were Jacula. Giallo Disco is proud to present ‘The Sadist’ by this incredible group.

Christoph De Babalon / Triames – Invocation Of The Demon Twin Vol.1 [GD013]

You wake from sleep, the door closes by itself and the walls run with slime and rain. A shadow moves, almost familiar, welcoming and simultaniously intimidating. The candle flickers and snuffs out. A noise. Your torch is dying. Something takes your hand. Long fingernails and old skin. You mark the floor, chant the incantation. Together. In the first of our split series we present two modern artists who’s imaginations know no limit. Abstract drones, anchient machinery, neon cities within the shadow of the overfiend.

VA – Wild In Blue (Soundtrack) [GDLP002]

After a year in the making Giallo Disco presents GDLP002 the previously unreleased soundtrack to fictitious writer/director Joel Hughes controversial 80s teen drama Wild In Blue. Featuring tracks from label heads Antoni Maiovvi and Vercetti Technicolor as well as the maestro Umberto, Canada’s Kindest Cuts, Italy’s Queen Of Coldwave Mushy, Germany’s Mirror Talk, the legendary HORD and Fever Dream. Halfway between The Breakfast Club and Gregg Araki, with influences ranging from Gothic Electro, HiNRG Synth Pop and Cosmic Melancholy, this Various Artist affair tugs the heartstrings and warps the mind.

WLDV – Secondo Incantesimo [GD011]

Bilbao’s greatest DJ team and heads of the Vocoder Club, WLDV (We Love Dolce Vita) hit hard with their debut EP for Giallo Disco, this is music for your over pressurised space suit as you float further from the ship. With nods to Horror Greats from Fidenco to Frizzi, WLDV is complimented from a remix by the uber-talented Berlin feline Lazercat, who takes Blue Thunder to underwater Drexciyan territory.

Broken Arrows – So Few Truths [GD010]

Broken Arrows are the powerhouse duo of London’s Bill Ambrose and Spruxx. United over an envy inducing collection of vintage and modern synths and drum machines. Broken Arrows are the sound of a slime coated pansexual Club D’Amore as populated by malfunctioning ED-209s getting real freaky. Taking cues from classic EBM, Minimal Synth, these three dark-fucking-wave destroyers are complimented by a remix from the one-man-brutalist-factory known as Drvg Cvltvre, taking the title track and twisting it into a reimagined 8-bit NES grinder / grindr.

Garofano Rosso – Garofano Rosso [GD009]

Garofano Rosso is the latest project by Italian producer Giorgio Luceri. This new work eschews the house stylings of previous releases in favour of a more classic Cosmic approach. Echoes of Tangerine Dream’s Thief OST mixed with what could perhaps be the imaginary soundtrack to Miami Vice if it had infact been set in Rimini and starred Maurizio Merli as Sonny Crockett. These are not however just mere mood pieces, but take the sun, the sea and the body-count straight to the dancefloor.

DKMD – Sacrificio [GD008]

DKMD is the unholy union of the legendary David Kristian (Psyche / Francesco Clemente / Creme Org) and composer, singer and poet Marie Davidson. The Sacrificio EP is a cosmic soundtrack to vampire rituals, stalker fantasies and abandoned mansions. Heavy disco grooves are matched with Marie Davidson’s ghostly voice, speaking from (the crawl)space to your paranoid mind. Remixes come from Giallo Disco’s Vercetti Technicolor and Antoni Maiovvi.

Vercetti Technicolor – Black September [GDLP001]

Vercetti Technicolor’s ficticious soundtrack to the 1972 Munich Massacre, is a bleak, cold and somber work. Partly inspired by the 1999 Documentary by Kevin Macdonald, Vercetti creates a tense and brooding approach to this, the most darkest of subject matter. This is far from dancefloor material, this is doom-electronics at it’s most frightening. Giallo Disco is proud to present our first LP, Vercetti Technicolor’s Black September, closer to minimal wave than moroder and all the better for it. Remixes come from Mexico’s PLAYTONTO and Creme Organisation signing’s Francesco Clemente.

The Hunt – Revengers Of The Darkness [GD007]

Stylishly blending a powerhouse mix of EBM Machismo, New Beat Sleaze and Space Disco’s hot synth solos, ‘Revengers Of The Darkness’ throbs like a robot post-the singularity on a quest for alien sewer sex. Giallo Disco are more than honored to present the debut EP from this fantastic group. Five cinematic dancefloor bombs for the discerning listener.

Volkan Akaalp – Baskin OST [GD006]

Giallo Disco journeys further east with the release of Baskin. Our first original soundtrack written by Turkish composer Volkan Akaalp for the short film by enfant terrible Can Evranol (To My Mother And Father). Baskin tells the story of four cops discovering a nightmare of Lovecraftian proportions during a routine investigation. This incredible soundtrack is an eastern twist on the works of Fabio Frizzi, industrially corroded by early 90s R&S Records. Shot independently in Istanbul, Turkey, during the height of the Gezi riots Baskin has been described as ”Disgusting. Disorienting. Brilliant” by Horror director Eli Roth. Comes with a full colour sleeve and two exclusive remixes on the b-side by Giallo Disco heads Vercetti Technicolor and Antoni Maiovvi.
