6D22 – Dragons Path [MNSX011]
Enter the Dragon. Adding mystique to the techno are these pulsating, arpeggiated, snarling beasts from the Italian producer with an ominous-sounding remix by Heinrich Mueller aka Gerald Donald of Drexicya. Track titles refer to the journeys of the Sky Dragon (A1), Yellow Dragon (A2) and Dragon King (B1/B2) as they soar and serpentine majestically underwater and beyond the clouds.
6D22 – Istar [ZNKL001]
New label hailing from Tbilisi with the first release coming from a prolific melancholic Italian producer Giorgio Luceri under his 6D22 moniker with a mysterious acidic approach.
Giorgio Luceri – Space Fire Truth [UZURI023]

Giorgio Luceri presents 6D22 – I Know U Have Wings [MATH085]
“I Know U Have Wings” EP feats 4 tracks from one of Mathematics’ main artists, Giorgio Luceri. A serious deep textured beating EP for the serious dance floor movers & shakers.
Garofano Rosso – Garofano Rosso [GD009]
Garofano Rosso is the latest project by Italian producer Giorgio Luceri. This new work eschews the house stylings of previous releases in favour of a more classic Cosmic approach. Echoes of Tangerine Dream’s Thief OST mixed with what could perhaps be the imaginary soundtrack to Miami Vice if it had infact been set in Rimini and starred Maurizio Merli as Sonny Crockett. These are not however just mere mood pieces, but take the sun, the sea and the body-count straight to the dancefloor.
Giorgio Luceri – True Feelings EP [MATH076]
The deep envisioned season is upon us with the new release from Giorgio Luceri, expressing some true emotion and crafting a body of work that stands on its own merit of creative intrigue and splendor of mid 90’s Chicago lofting Scene & Gallery scene.
Giorgio Luceri – Pherenike EP [DAS007]
Giorgio Luceri – Aurora [MMX606]
Giorgio Luceri is not a new comer as he has already released a lot of EPs and an album on Jamal Moss Chicago-based label Mathematics Recordings. Working on spiritual atmospheres, deep emotions and nave melodies, Giorgio delivers us a strong piece of analog techno/acid music.
Giorgio Luceri – Liger EP [SAFT006]
Gear appreciating Italian ”Giorgio Luceri” enters the SAFT dome with the machine driven ”Liger EP”. On the opening track ”Liger” Giorgio cleverly paints an elusive ambiance using jumbled drums and an appealing bassline together with a continual synthline that nicely sits on top of the serene pads that give rise to an intense atmosphere. The B1 side opens with similar soothing pads that gradually change when the immense bassline and full bodied kick drum come in. Giorgio again creates a somewhat adverse vibe which helps to give it a hint of lushness. For the B2, Chicago legend ‘Gene Hunt’ contributes with a massive percy remix for ”Liger”. A lot of drum action is present in this club oriented (yet deep) roller.
Giorgio Luceri – A Love Supremacy [MATH072]
2014 brings back Giorgio Luceri for his 3rd outing on the Mathematics imprint. “Falena” on Side A is a subtle house track for those early sets. Track 2 is more on the techno tip with heavy synth stabs & drum programming. Flip it & we bring up the tempo with both “Vernice” & “A Love Supremacy”.
Hipodrome’s 2013 Review (Part 3 of 3)
Here is the third and final part of my 2013 review, featuring my favorite albums released last year. In the first part of the review, the preferences of hipodrome followers are shown, according to the number of click and stars. In the second part, I presented some of my favorite events and performances from last year.
Now here it comes the serious business. Because there are so many good albums and different genders, I took the same approach as in the 2012’s review.
The list is covering all the genders that I like and post on The Hipodrome Of Music, so I came up with no more than 20 gender lists, going from house to techno, disco and funk to electro and new wave …
Here we go.
Giorgio Luceri – Prophetic Vibes EP [FBNM005]
Fly by Night Music present the next release from Italian producer Giorgio Luceri. Giorgio delivers two sumptuous house tracks here with completely opposite dispositions, the breezin’ Balearic bliss of Prophetic Vibes versus the dark Detroitian dissonance of Woman. Woman, with thudding drums and deep subs setting the picture right away. Warbling synth begin to layer before the crescendo begins with fat analog stabs, rushing synth pads and airy groans. Lastly Kai Alce remixes of Woman. Simple but effective KZR delivers a retro house groove fitted out with lo-fi samples and old school sequenced MPC drum.
Giorgio Luceri – Voices In My Head [MATH069LP]
After his “Eernamente EP” on Mathematics, Giorgio Luceri returns with an amazing debut full length album. Combining classical keys with the old and new sounds of electronic music, he creates an atmosphere perfect for dark club floors, open air festivals, and afterhours. Ten track album with a nice versatile collection of tracks.
South West Seven – If You Want / Move Back [OTP016]
Northern Irish garage/house duo South West Seven (Ric McClelland and Sean Grieve) make a guest appearance for NYC’s On The Prowl, with remixes by Giorgio Luceri and Club Silencio. “If You Want” gets things moving with a deep house style layered with a big upfront bassline and super lush pads that are straight outta Detroit! Built to please big rooms in the early morning. A2 has Club Silencio showing his remix finesse by adding some organ key stabs in the “Gypsey Women” territory. Proper early 90’s house vibes but still maintaining a modern edge. “Move Back” shifts the mood toward a more disco feel with balaeric style guitars and laid back and groovey bassline. On the remix Luceri adds his music touch while keeping things driving with steady snare fills and old school drums.
VA – Nonnative 03 [SEMNNN003]
Various artists compilation on Semantica’s Nonnative series with stripped pulsating techno tracks by Giorgio Gigli, Cassegrain, Baryta and Staffan Linzatti.
VA – A Fistful Of Wax I [AFX001]
A Fistful Of Wax is an extension for some very special projects of deep house Skylax Records’ sub – label Wax Classic. For this first release features 5 fantastic trax done by some of the best Deep House producers at the moment: Girogio Luceri, Jamie Trench, Jackmaster K, Marcoradi and Rio Padice. These tracks are all firmly rooted into the deep house sound. They never settle into one comfortable, predictable groove. Its heady, emotion-rich grooves include warm, melodic two-step and future garage flavas, dubwise slo-mo grooves. It’s eclectic, no doubt, but thanks to those guys warm production and heavy deep vocals, this release will put your hands up in the air marvellously.
Giorgio Luceri – Eternamente EP [MATH059]
Italian producer Giorgio Luceri makes his Mathematics debut with this 3 track EP. “Les verres du bar” is a 9+ minute tune & a perfect blend of bangin, raw, & hypnotic vibes. on the flip side, “Less Business” is a dope slice of deep house and “Eternamente” stays classy.
Giorgio Luceri – 6D22 [OTP012]
On The Prowl appears to be on a roll with it’s new found artists. The A1 track “More Heart” is big, catchy, and totally feel good house vibes with disco styled horn flourishes. The A side inside cut “Basement 6D22” takes us near Kerri Chandler with delayed brassy chord stabbing and long organ pads. Flipping the record over reveals a stunning slo mo disco house workout, filled with jam style organ riffs and amazing synth horn parts. For B2 we get a Perscription style deep house track with all the right dark drifting chords.
