Ben Sims delivers Sampler 2, another four incredibly artists taken from his Tribology compilation. From the 808 driven hypnotics of Berghain’s Steffi through to ROD’s strident ‘Embase’ via Jeroen Search’s masterful, bleeping ‘Ostinato Pattern’ and Sims’ own punchy edit of unreleased Robert Hood cut ‘Gun Talk’ this is an unmissable 12″. A total of 5 samplers will drop as part of the Ben Sims pres Tribology mix compilation project.
Four peak-timers incl. a special club edit of the popular ‘Rawhide’ track, and Degiorgio’s ‘Dread’ appears on vinyl for the first time after it’s inclusion on Sims’ Fabric Mix CD. Funky and uncompromising as always – this will be a mainstay in Techno sets.
New label by Ben Sims and Kirk Degiorgio. Entitled, appropriately enough, Machine, the EP sees Degiorgio deliver the deep melodicism of “Machine Theme”, while Sims contributes one of his typically twisted productions in the shape of “Metal Works”, an alienating slice of prickly techno. To round it off, Sims remixes “Machine Theme”, concentrating on a tough 909 rhythm.
