The founder of Hot Mix Records delivers a bangin full length to follow up his EP on Chicago Mathematics. Here he continues with more amazing sounding house tracks.

Long awaited album, “Imaginary Soundscapes”, from Jamal Moss brings nine breathtaking compositions of raw electronic goodness that only he can concoct. From soft atmospheric sound environments to banging warehouse beat tracks, this is pure sonic bliss.

Simoncino returning to Mathematics, brings a solid release beginning with a spaced out soundscape & flows into “Dark Devotional Energies”, an eerie cut with killer drums like “The China Syndrome”. “Place Space This Galaxy” and “Easing The Cosmic Streets” take on the flip on this essential EP.

Debut from Roche on the Mathematics label leads off with “Sans Quimico”, an amazing tune with elements of deep house and Detroit techno. “LFTL Eternal” starts the flip with an obscure bangin track with crisp hats and a bubbling bassline. The title cut ends the EP with a chilled out deep 5am feel.

Andreas Ghem returns once again to the Mathematics imprint for more banging house cuts. “Fire & Ice” along with “From Space 3 SunsS” bring old school Chicago house vibes with raw drums and eerie synths. “Warm Words Don’t Help As Much As A Helping Hand” with the title track take on the flip.

From the full length double CD Mysterious Intrigue by Kuba Sojka on Mathematics Recordings, comes 4 tracks previously unreleased on wax. The original version of “I Can’t Stop” and “So Far Away” take on the A-side while “El Trompetista” and “Galactic Ritual” fill the flip. All cuts show the producer’s top notch skill and balance between house and techno.

New to the Mathematics roster, Deviere brings this 3 track EP that opens with Lessons Learned In The Tears Of Deceit, a deep cut with a driving rhythm & sick bass sounds & synths. My Kingdom For A Time Mach is a sick percussive joint with elements of acid & the title cut brings it back deep.

Swiss producer Echo 106 sees an EP with 4 outstanding tracks on Chicago’s Mathematics Recordings. The title track calls upon the spirits of Chicago’s jack past & is followed by “Copy Ins Del”, a deep acid filled cut.

Italian producer Giorgio Luceri makes his Mathematics debut with this 3 track EP. “Les verres du bar” is a 9+ minute tune & a perfect blend of bangin, raw, & hypnotic vibes. on the flip side, “Less Business” is a dope slice of deep house and “Eternamente” stays classy.

Hot stuff Macello Napoletano dons his new guise as Ra Thout & The Brigante’s Orchestra but keeps loyal to his firm and releases on Mathematics. Anyway, Ra Thout is a totally different animal, frantic and aggressive, littered with raw electronics and tape saturation. “Catastophic Event” is an apt title for a rabid track that drags a multitude of squeals and sine tone abuse through rough drum box percussion and a fast, unrelenting tempo. “Man From Messapia” rides on a similar tempo but gets a bit funky, with filtered hooks and flanging pads. Deep, tech-funk with what sounds to me like a crazy vocoder line going absolutely off-it through the track. “The Man Who Can Do Anything” is a low-slung chugger with quite organic percussion and a subby bass. Breaking delicately through the mix is a wonderful lead flute line which contrasts well against the sludgy groove. “Terra Tra Due Mari” is totally nuts, mangling a free-jazz workout against jagged guitars and ridiculous amounts of bass. Hard to pin down, and quite unlike anything else but imagine some of Madlib’s Yesterdays New Quintet work being tweaked by Jamal Moss then mixed and mastered into some aggressive psychedelic B-side and you’re halfway there.

“The Human Experience EP” from Jamal Moss is the 8th 12″ from this highly coveted and limited imprint. “How Wet Is Your Box” starts with a great distorted & chaotic synth line & is followed by “Siddhartha (Part One)”. Flip it for “Long Live The Flesh (The Edit)” & the title track. Fresh raw basements tracks.

The 1st official mix compilation for Mathematics Recordings done by fellow Chicagoan & Eargasmic boss is a retrospective that showcases the deep sound of the label that ranges from atmospheric acid, smooth techno, experimental electronic jazz, electro and house influences all recorded live.

“Cosmo Rhythmatic” by Hieroglyphic Being is the 18th CD on Music From Mathematics. The Sun God once again delivers claustrophobic technosoul of the highest order.

New artist to the Jamal Moss camp brings three original tracks to the label influenced by Chicago classic house, cinematic soundscapes, and Detroit tech. On the flip, Marcello Napoletano’s IFM project drops a fresh remix to the title track.

“Time 4 Harmony In This World EP” from Jamal Moss opens with the title track that is a 15 minute ride of percussive elements, atmospheric synths and melodies. “Resonant” on the flip is a exquisite piece of experimentation & “A Day Trip Thru Divination” rounds off the EP with a slow tempo’d basement track.

Hieroglyphic Being aka Jamal Moss presents his new album Re-Surrection on his own Mathematics Recordings. The album includes 10 raw Chicago tracks.
