Next raw and dubby monster cuts by Savas Pascalidis on his own imprint Sweatshop. Including a Skudge remix.
Falko Brocksieper – Excellent Upload [SUS078]

Falko Brocksieper on Sub Static label. Embracing the classic values of techno, the title track “Excellent Upload” immediatly unfolds its ear-splitting character, induced by a slamming drumbeat and memories of early european techno. Conforce, takes his remix to an even darker place, using a bubbly bassline, lightfooted fast beats and an enigmatic string arrangement to reinforce his current standing as the dutch mastermind of detroit-flavoured, atmospheric techno. Finally “Epic Share” takes minimal techno back to a time when awkward sequencing on top on a stiff, dry beat was the right way to do it.
Bleak – The Jupiter Theft EP [TRAUT012]

Traut Muzik presents the first release by Santiago Naura aka Bleak called The Jupiter Theft EP , including a remix by Skudge. Bleak is kicking the board this year with his high quality productions which they have a very own style and sound.
Roberto – First Principles [AFFIN114]

Roberto on Affin. The title track deals with straight beats but integrates warm chords, what a great mixture of techno & house. On with a gorgeous dubby and sub bass-branded Unbalance “First Principles” remix. “Silvertown” represents a Roberto typical high-class chordish techno track while “Going Fast Nowhere” is working on a drum sequences combined with pitched vocals.
Mark Forshaw – DJ Mix B May 30
VA – Belly Dancer [MT037]

DJ 3000 presents 10 Years of Motech (The Remixes) Part 2 EP ahead of the full length remix CD. Mark Broom adds a killer interpretation for an impressive opener. Next up is Kiko who doesn’t disappoint with his driving new rendition of DJ 3000s Defiant (MT-015), toughening up the original but still maintaining its funk-fuelled roots. The rest of the EP features a remix a track taken from Franki Juncas 2011 album Invisible Moods. Firstly, Ill Be Around gets the remix treatment from Detroits Luke Hess, delivers a moodier take on things, with deep pads and a grooving beat.
Unknown Artist – Untitled [UHB006]

Straight up raw and heavy Techno Tracks from Jena City. Detroit minimal techno early days vibes on this hand stamped white label bizz. No further artist info, but these tracks deliver a proper work out for the dancefloor.
Alien Rain – Alien Rain 1 [ALIENRAIN001]
Pattern Repeat – Pattern Repeat 06 [PATTERNREPEAT006]

Kenneth Christiansen & Dennis Bøg presents Pattern Repeat part 6. This time Pattern Repeat gets a little more harder and darker. The A side is a moody dark track with deep hypnotic almost nightmare kind of groove, with a old school kind of atmosphere. The B side gets hard straight from the beginning of the track with a pounding almost industrial kick drum, that builds from a minimal groove that really will kill the PA system in the club.
Die Roh – Van Draft EP [VVR003]

New release and new debut on Vae Victis, this time from the italian duo Die Roh. Three original tracks plus an additional remix from Uk rising star Tessela. An ep with emotional, warm, percussive but spacey Detroit inspired tracks, where drums and pads are fused together in a one take madness arrangement. Ranging from Dupstep inspired to the rawer side of techno. All pure analogue tracks recorded without a computer to give them a lively edge.

Innerspace Halflife – Cosmology EP [MDREAMS008]

Big sounding chicago acid tracks produced by Hakim Murphy and Ike Release. Ranging from in your face acid to deeper tracks.
Dario Zenker – Cat Stance [T2X021]

Time To Express welcomes back Dario Zenker for his second release on the label. After 2010’s euphoric ”Insirer” Dario increases the tension with ”Cat Stance”. Label owner Peter Van Hoesen provides a rolling remix.
Maan / Psyk – Trow EP [NON003]
Midland – LWE Podcast 122
SP-X – Stalker EP [KOMISCH011]

SP-X drops his third EP for Komisch. The Brussels-based producer serves up three more slices of uncompromising warehouse techno. Lead track ‘The Escape’ has all the SP-X hallmarks – rock hard beats, thundering claps and a swinging groove that underpins eerie riffs and clanking metallic drums‘Stalker’ reveals a more musical slant to SP-X’s sound. It starts off with unsettling riffs, but soon the rolling drum-led arrangement changes tact and provides the backdrop for a growling chord climax. There is a similar concession on ‘Attack Pattern’; bruising doubled-up drums and that unmistakably snappy SP-X percussion combine with subtle snare rolls to create a peak time arrangement. But once again an insistent chord sequence gives it the edge over functional techno.
Gerry Read – Rhino: Records Store Day Edition [ATHXGRXRSD]

Rhino is the latest insight into the prolific mind of the young but all too talented Gerry Read. The producer has grown his own particular style across a choice number of labels such as Fourth Wave, 2nd Drop and most recently Delsin, and this latest release on the aforementioned RAMP offshoot is perhaps Read’s most nightmarish advance through the outskirts of house and techno. “Rhino” is as heavy weight as the animal from which the name originates, thumping into existence with indecipherable vocals twisted rhythmically around a hollow industrialised groove of malformed percussion and drums. In full flow, the track almost seems to creak under the pressure of everything that’s going on but somehow rumbles on. In contrast “All The Time” seems more focused to begin with, drums wound tightly before Read lets loose with his desire to craft all manner of demented layers of sound and vocals.
M-A-E – 665 [EDEC005]

EDEC delivers a slice of raw, heaving techno from M-A-E, with two remixes from the underground mastermind behind New York’s Plan B Recordings, DJ Spider.
