Big sounding chicago acid tracks produced by Hakim Murphy and Ike Release. Ranging from in your face acid to deeper tracks.

J.A.M. Traxx is a vinyl only label inspired by synth and analog machines, spacey- hypnotic atmospheres and everything is showing a genuine passion for complex rhythm and going against. This is the second various EP and includes tracks by Punknown, Humandrone, Elec Pt.1, Alternativ 2 and Tiger Mask.

Alden Tyrell hooked up with Mike Dunn for some new work!. Tyrell always jamming and playing around with his synths had some tracks inspired by early Mike Dunn songs. So the obvious happened… the hooked up for some appropiate vocals and here it is….”Touch The Sky”! A peak time acid monster with Mike’s vocal chant in the style of his classic MD3 projects. Gerd is on remix duty here and delivers a killer remix with a more traditional Chicago groove and build up. Clone head honcho Serge had some studio time with Tyrell for a dub mix. The Serge & Tyrell dub mix turned out a bit wild and became a classic piece of piano and dx bass driven Chicago house music with stuttering vocal samples and a acidic synth line.

First part of a series aiming to bridge the gap between French underground culture and the relevant contemporary dancefloors, featuring hot tracks by Jared Wilson, Dam Mantle and Nukubus, who delivers a breathtaking 11 minutes long krautrock tunnel remix of Luc Marianni’s Six Synthetic Suites.

Chris Moss Acid returns with an extraterrestrial four tracker on Holland’s 030303. The A-side features Bay of Cadiz, an eleven minute cut built around an hypnotic bass line and a simple Hitchcockian synth that would do well in a horror movie featuring zombies with smiley faces. On the flip, Lynchette Matravers is an energetic, crystal clear banger reminding of early 808 State. The Big Freeze sounds a lot warmer than the title suggests and should please anyone into AFX’s later output. The Rhythm, the fourth and last track on the EP, continues on that vibe with beautiful synth work.

Old school Chicago ghetto/acid tracks in a fresh jacket. Marbeled black/green plus handprinded artwork… limited limited.

Bintus with ‘Corrosion Control’ wades into an especially grizzled realm of Acid House and Electro and is the first artist to be released on Power Vacuum- a new label from Milo Smee. Side A Corrosion Control is jacking into sight from deep within the aqua-zone. Side B Advanced Fuel is Bintus on the run for crimes against bass beckons us aboard his armoured dune buggy for a night ride thru Babylon.

Paranoid London return to show the Johnny Come Latelys how to do Acid House. Proper late night, bass driven machine music featuring the mysterious Mulato Pintado on vocals. The music is all analogue using two machines: 808 & 303 …nice & simple.

Matt Whitehead returns with the 3rd installment on Rebel Intelligence. This time 4 tracks of finely crafted acid house in keeping with his acclaimed live sets of the past 2 years. From the Inner City inspired ‘Good Fun’ to the deep atmosphere of the title track ‘Obsession’, this EP captures a sound and feeling guaranteed to move both hearts and feet on the dancefloor.

Four slices of raw Chicago House. Zurich based Florin Büchel aka CCO (Contra Communem Opinionem), has filled his flat with old school synthesizers and drum machines a few years ago, because these are the ultimate tools to make the music he likes in a way that is fun. It is liquid sensual music that sounds like machines, always looking for the feeling beyond the beat

The first of Various Artist release on Abstract Acid, ‘Downtown Dirt 1′ is packed full of chicago workouts. Tracks by Jackee, Interface88, MMMC (Man Made Mechanical Culture) and Steve Summers.

Traxx aka Melvin Oliphant III returs to MOS Deep with a stunning solo-project. Under his The Poetic Painter M pseudonym he serves up ‘Marie’s Transcendance’ backed-up by two reworks from compadre Sean Hernandez aka Chicago Skyway and label owner Aroy Dee. ‘Marie’s Transcendance’ is a frenetic yet hypnotizing house track that echoes memories of downpitched Newbeat material and the hooky coldness of new wave. Melvin, though, re-defines rather than regurgitates these influences and re-launches them into a dark and moody acid-flecked future. Chicago Skyway reworks it into a deep, emotional just as acid-version which seems to float into eternity as solid 808-beat programming plays out busily behind. Aroy Dee edits a second rework of “Marie’s”, creating a simple but highly effective and bouncing track that’s carried along by a psychedelic, out-of-this-world bass line.

FunkinEven’s debut release on his own label, Apron Records. Heavy driven drum traxx with distortion, 808, 606, Korg kpr-77, Mpc, 303 & synths. Apron EP is a Raw acid house & techno sound to continue the adventure from his last Monster Release the ‘Rolands Jam’ .

Mysterious newcomer Jamie Blanco displays a clear skill in assembling the kind of raw, atmospheric late 80’s Chicago House so close to our hearts. The kind of late night jams which can just as easily roll in and out of string drenched Disco cuts as they can moments of strobe-lit intensity.

Adalberto is back on the way to school to perform his homework on the box called 909 …nothing more – nothing less than raw deep-, acid- and ghetto-houze can be expected…
