Subtle, stripped down & deadly techno.

Release number four on the scruffy militant wing of the beloved Popular People’s Front label. This time around we have a raw, stripped down and acid-fueled workout from Manchester’s Miguel Manzano.

Four tracks of rugged ‘ouse music from Disco Nihilist. These tracks are 100% hardware built, from the ruff-as-yer-nana’s kneecaps beats of ‘relentless’ and ‘relentless drums’ – paying homage to Steve Poindexter’s ‘Work That MF’, to the sleazier, more hypnotic ‘Quit While You’re Ahead’ nd the pounding jack of ‘You Never leave Your Room’.

Tony Ollivierra with a second release on his own Ibex Music label. The title track strikes hard with a flashback into acid house done up new millennium style. This track breathes of electronic bliss and madness stirring up memories of the past yet still clinging to the present and future hope of electronic music. Next track, “Ex animo”, picks up the pace and is an Ibex production in rare form. The flip side “H.B.B”, Human Beat Box, is a monster club banger and is expected to top charts worldwide. “Solidago” kicks off with a dreamy string chord that filters away into some interesting synthesizer work and arrangement.

Up next on Objektivity, Dennis Ferrer recorded this track last year with Philadelphia singer Dawn Hulton – remixed by Detroit’s Kyle Hall on the B side.

Morning Factory’s second Yore EP, “New Memories”, is bursting full of fresh ideas. pener “Maiden”Voyage” is classic Morning Factory, an ever-so-tight house jam that twists and turns for eight rapturous minutes. Darker undercurrents run through “Last March of the Ants” when church organ chords stretch themselves across a windswept, broken beat shuffle. Creamy organ sounds also course through “Radioshow”, which takes a nostalgic glance backward to a golden age where something like “Green Onions” had a chance of getting played on the radio. But the EP’s most body-shaking cut arrives last in the form of “Cherish”, a charging tech-house hellraiser animated by rowdy basslines and shotgun claps.

New Ornate Music from Miles Sagnia. The A side is reserved for the lush, monolithic acid work out that is ‘Interplanetary Visitors’. On the flip ‘Bounce Theory’ sets its stall out with a future thinking, hip shaking house groove. And ‘Twilight’ gives a nod to old school Chicago, but has its mind out amongst the stars.

Strahil Velchev a.k.a. KiNK presents “Tracks From The Vault Vol. 1”. Five compositions, produced between 2003 and 2009, all showcasing the more experimental side of the Bulgarian music geek.

Creme come to Jak with the second release from cult undercover artiste, The Minister. Seven studied and instinctive tributes to the Chicago sound, from the Bam Bam-styled ‘My Land Of Exctasy’, through the elegant Larry Heard sound of ‘Night Flight’, and hypnotic, psyched jackers like ‘Clouds’ and ‘Paranoia On Planet X’.

Stunning new EP room the master of the true minimal groove. Infectious drum pads and an acidic twist render the title track unbeatable. The thundering kick and warehouse style acid line on ‘Power To Prophet’ will add energy to any dancefloor. ‘Clash’ is a nod to the old skool Chicago minimal techno.
