Amsterdam figures Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff step up onto Delsin with a four track debut EP which includes a remix from the legendary Sterac. Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff are long time players on the Amsterdam scene as residents at De School, esteemed label bosses at Indigo Aera, and as producers with a richly atmospheric dub techno sound. Steve Rachmad aka Sterac joined the studio for the mix down of all tracks, and also provided a dub version of Tesseract. It completes a package of deep and artful techno that is laced with beautiful ambience.

Otakhee – Floating On / Inhale [SYNCRO-OTK01]
Otakhee is a unique and creative musician from South Korea with his own broad musical spectrum. Recognized first with his psychedelic-avantgarde jazz album “Smoked Jazz” released in 2012, he surprised the scene again in 2015 with an abstract hip-hop album, “Psychedelic Weather”. His unique soundscape with elements of minimalism and industrial music along with the veteran emcee M.E.D. created the album’s own esthetics, nowhere else to be found. After the release of “Psychedelic Weather”, he expressed his interest in dance music, especially in deep house and techno.

A sound experimentalist at heart, he devotes himself into expanding the sonic experience on the dance-floor and in the mind.

Dutch producer and live act Conforce is back with ‘Autonomous’, a fifth artist album and the latest in his long relationship with Delsin Records. Conforce is Boris Bunnik, a producer who explores the deepest realms of dub, house, techno and electro under many different names. His Conforce alias is where his most club orientated material comes from and this new nine track album finds the Transcendent label boss producing dark syntheses inspired by his hometown and harbour city, Rotterdam, and its automated industries. A masterfully conceptual album that really paints a vivid picture of a harbour as heard from deep down in the depths.
Deepchord – Campfire EP [SOMA497]
Deepchord is back on Soma and drops the first single from forthcoming album, Auratones due in October. As is expected from the Detroit based sound designer, the Campfire EP is everything we have come to know and admire about his productions, from the spaced out, ambient sound fields to classic Dub Techno.
Steffi – World Of The Waking State [OSTGUTLP027]
On ‘World Of The Waking State’ Steffi stretches her wings, having created the album in a period when she found herself free from the past and more comfortable in her own skin. The shift in her mindset led to a new freedom of exploration in her creativity, enabling her to write more experimentally and logically resulting in this new album. Gone are the classic drum sounds and conspicuous melodies of her previous works. Instead, Steffi’s productions unify disparate molecular details to forge a greater whole, reflecting a serious commitment to abstract electronic composition that manifests itself here as a totally inimitable collection of tracks. World Of The Waking State is a confident and mature work of complex rhythms and refined melodies. The overall effect is as subtle, unique and thought provoking as the artist herself.

Waage – W [THL022]
Thule are on an unstoppable roll at the moment, both mining the archive and doing a great service to the next generation of techno producers in Iceland. The deep, dubby headspace most readily associated with the label continues in abundance with the emergence of Waage, who under the tutelage of Thule old guard Exos has taken to production like a natural. There’s a supremely reduced air about “W1”, but the rubbery bassline simply can’t be argued with. The dub techno tropes are out in full force on “W2” though, with some sumptuous chords that come on like cracking ice. “W3” then pushes even further out into that heady space where minor key chords can never have enough reverb before the sinister, simmering creep of “W4”.
