Hot off the heels of MonoTrax Volume 1, Monotone is not letting up with this vinyl only compilation of what could be considered some of the best Electro has to offer. Banging Electro from The Hacker, Larry McCormick, Cosmic Force & DeFeKT.
Next up on Bicep’s Feel My Bicep imprint is a fresh single from fellow Irishman Cromby, featuring two remixes from Electro stalwart DeFeKT and the ever-dependable Shanti Celeste. Cromby slots neatly into the FMB catalogue with Retribution – a single that draws from his experience spent on the floor and behind the booth at clubs in Berlin, with it’s stirring chords and frazzled drums. DeFeKT’s offers up a buoyant, 808-heavy take on the original while Shanti’s ‘Chill’ mix omits the kicks in favour of her signature sunny synth tones.
On this new split EP, we welcome two knights of the European electro scene. On the A side, the Irish man DeFeKT, who already released several bombs on Earwiggle, Solar One Music or Newflesh. On the B side, the french killer Maelstrom, who shows us his darkest face here, after some strong releases on RAAR, Zone or Cititrax. One EP, two buddies, four heavy tracks for the bangers.
Sunil Sharpe and DefeKt unwrap more electrified madness with a second release as Tinfoil. More Sunil Sharpe techno than DefeKt electro comes through on this EP with “Foil 9” battering down the hatchet for a synth heavy, hi intensity hit of colourful industrial beats. Snares are added to the mix in “Foil 8” create a syncopated concoction of R&S rave mechanics mixed with detuned Drexciyan similarities. “Foil 10” sounds like something you’d image Oscar Mulero playing in Tresor while “Foil 5” is stripped back and sinister.
Zyntax Motorcity presents a remix compilation featuring 8 Morphology tracks remixed by some of the best electro producers out there : Versalife, The Exaltics, DJ Overdose, Hardfloor, Kan3da & Luke Eargoggle, Sync 24, DeFekt and Biodread.
Irish electro producing artist DeFeKT will supply the second Electronic Explorations 12″ release. Strong analogue sounding electro techno, raw industrial edged tracks.
Hot on the heels of volume 2 Cultivated Electronics returns with the 3rd edition of the World Electronix series. This time with another sizzling line up of global electro talent. With the first 2 EP’s aimed at the darker, moody side of the genre this EP ventures into lighter, deeper territories with exclusive tracks from J.T.C, Gosub, Sync 24 & DeFeKT and Versalife.
Fourth release on Signal Code from one of Irelands finest producers DeFeKT. Here he delivers four top quality, chilled, smooth synth-laden electro tracks that will definitely stand the test of time. Electro has always had this timeless quality when it’s done right and this is certainly the case with this release.
