Nick Dunton – Journeys To The Deep Vol. 1 [SFBSF001]

Two tracks of attention grabbing House from Portable aka Bodycode! ‘This Life Of Illusion’ is an exceptional piece of deepest House soul laden with warmest synth washes, pointed keys and a heavyweight yet tactile bass throb made for the best sound system you can lay your hands. ‘Life Magically Is’ is built with different intentions, laying positive self-help vocals over a prime jackers rhythm with a deep, sprawling, and deadly square bass line.
Counterpart – Tricycle EP [MRECLTD05]
Counterpart are Dimi Angèlis and Jeroen Search. They are two dutch masters of world techno scene. In this new release they have three tracks plus an intro. The tracks travelling through beautiful and dirty sounds at the same time minimal (meaning the true minimalist school of Detroit) without a breath to the dancefloor. In the whole release you can enjoy the analog sound.

New release on Kirk Degiorgio’s label, from The Third Man. The EP includes an original track and a remix from Vince Watson.
Roberto Bosco – Hong Kong (Remixes) [SNAP008]
Snapshot records are back with a remix pack for Roberto Bosco’s Hong Kong. Claudio Mate’s remix keeps it deep and emotional unfolding his raw groove style, flipping the 12 over label head Elliott Dodge moves straight to the floor with a rolling sparkle of enjoyment, layering sounds that hook and lock you in for the ride. Rennie Foster’s mix has to be one of his best tech-house remixes of his career, mixing his signature sound and taking Bosco’s original to a whole new level.
NSNT PRJCT – Laygo My Faygo [WON5NT]
NSNT stands for New School N1994 Techno and comes from Kyle Hall and his buddy Manuel Gonzalez. Cool fresh sounding tracks that builds on the tradition of Detroit techno, with a Wild Oats twist.
Shake – The Drummer Downstairs [FIT003]
Shake has created three killer tracks for FIT Sound that may be called anything but failed. ‘Trackin’ is a bangin’ disco influenced house track that will smoke the dance floor. Title track, ‘Drummer Downstairs’ is a beat track in typical Shake style that mutates into something completely different and unlike anything we have heard before; while ‘Frayed’ shows another side of Shake, it is equal parts deep, melodic and dubby – an absolutely stunning track.

Arne Weinberg – Integrity Constraint Part 1 [ADEPTH003]
Integrity Constraint Part 1 is the first in a series of aDepth audio releases by Arne Weinberg. The EP’s opening track ‘The Circle’ combines deep house vibes with Arne’s beloved signature sound – evolving synth textures and unusual rhythms – with lots of soul and feeling. The EP’s second original track ‘Desdemonia’ slows the tempo a little, while a lead analogue bass finds it’s way among soothing strings and broken techno drums. Kirk Degiorgio’s remix of ‘Paralyzed Tribes’ has a driving bassline and a heavily effected vocal from Mr Degiorgio himself.

The aural clues are quite promising… Upbeat and occasionally jazzy house with a strong whiff of Detroit about it.

Falty DL – Endeavour [ZIQ279]
Falty DL beautifully crafted and subtly put together slow motion house EP called “Endeavour”. “Endeavour” itself kicks off the release with molasses thick chords, off-beat bleeps and drums which build up a lush atmosphere before breaking into subtle keyboard stabs. “Filthy Divinity” takes a more hip-hop orientated route with a plaintive lead synth melody playing out over dusty drum breaks and claps, building into a crescendo with lush sampled orchestra strings. “Odyssey” takes classic Detroit techno at a snails pace and adds jazzy strings and a moog melody borrowed from classic fusion while building something that’s simultaneously fresh and nostagic.
