Ian Martin – Clairvoyant [27DIAM]

Known for his diverse releases on labels such as Bunker, Panzerkreuz, Further or Shimmering Moods Ian Martin has developed his very unique own brand of electronic music. To categorize his music is difficult which adds an immense appeal to his approch on his releases. Clairvoyant is no exception to this. It is an uplifting and beautiful album based around three of Ian’s favourite synthesizers: Waldorf Microwave I, Ensoniq ESQ-1 and Korg M1. Ian describes this album as an emotional collection of tracks with a lot of fantasy.

Sons Of Melancholia – Beauty Is Imperfection [20DIAM]

A new artist in the Diametric roster is delivering his debut album as Sons of Melancholia. Being a long time contributing artist in the techno scene, David Nizet, better known as Ozka, has put his heart and soul into this album. It is an album of sheer beauty and pure emotions and will enchant you with its honesty and rawness in places. The music is a mixture of harsh metallic percussive elements, abrasive sounds and breathtaking moody strings and pads. The clash of these elements makes this album so special and we at diametric. HQ believe that this will indeed become a classic electronic music album. For fans of early Autechre and 90s IDM music such as Beaumont Hannant, Stasis, Likemind and B12 but also with a nod to nowadays artists such as Vatican Shadow for example.

Valanx – Ejecta Remixes [19DIAM]

The second album by Valanx called Ejecta gets the remix treatment. Four artists, each with their own unqiue sound, have reworked their favorite track of the album and gave the music their own twist and sound. The Exaltics turns Beyond doubt into a dark brooding metallic industrial beast with a strong and dominant sub bass line that will damage your speakers. CRC, one half of the finnish electro masters Morphology creates a trippy psychedelic techno epic on his take of the track Chasm and showcases a masterpiece of drum programming and creation of atmosphere. On the flip, Trail of Conjuration gets the remix treatment by ADMX-71 aka Adam X. His version takes the tribal aspects of the original and turns it into a dark industrial techno drenched track that immediately lets you think of an old abandoned warehouse drowned in strobe light and fog and a massive rave taking place. Last but not at all least it is Louis Haimans turn and he creates a wonderful deep dub techno track out of Legion v2. The sub bass and deep chords are whirling and will hypnotize the listener with endless echoes and reverbs.

Morphology – Landform [13DIAM]

Diametric is pleased to announce the return of Morphology with a release of four new deep electro/techno tracks. Being praised as one of the finest electro acts in recent years, this new twelve-inch showcases why this praise is so well-deserved. The Finnish duo, Michael Diekmann and Matti Turunen deliver their mix of superb machine funk, electro beats and melancholic deep synth work to perfection here. ‘Herschel Crater’ will cause some serious frenzy on the dancefloor with its straightforward beats and dark sequence that respectfully nods toward the sound of Drexciya.
