Putsch’79 – Samasavel [CLSS06]

The return of Putsch 79! After their big momentum a couple of years ago the guys have been busy remixing and producing others. After been out of the music scene for some months doing some fishing and catching butterflies in the northern parts of Finland they are back with a big bad disco monster! Comes with a possibly even a bigger Alden Tyrell disco monster remix as we haven’t heard from him in a while!

Social Disco Club – Acidtown [HOTGOLD1]

Superb acid tracks combine with a disco edit! Portuguese man-of-war Humberto Matias AKA Social Disco Club comes with a rework of Funkytown.. nothing essential on could say! But on the flip two superb original acid tracks. Version 1 is an uptempo acid workout, while Version 2 slows down the pace and is a truly blissful piece of music.

Ajello – Do The Job Volume 1 [JOB1]

AjelloDo The Job Volume 1 on Do The Job

Italian discoid act Ajello (Mantra Vibes, Relish, Maxi Discs, Radius, Mad on the Moon, Rebirth) gets in the re-edit game with their very own series ”Ajello do the job”: “Telegatto” is an instrumental edit on Heather Parisi ‘Disco Bambina” track played by the likes of I-F and Loud-E. “Jabarra Island” is a DJ friendly version on the obscure single side 12” from Paul Jabara released in 1978 on Casablanca records. “Android Street” is an extended edit of the Sauveur Mallia “Robot Avenue” track included in his rare library album Automation.

Italo Deviance Blog celebrates its first birthday with three killer edits on 12”. On the A side you’ll find an extended & very powerful “I wanted to tell her” by Ministry edited by Marcello Giordani. The B side contains an obscure track made in Canada but very Italo Disco flavored “Ladies Choice – American man” edited by Ajello and a crazy edit by special guest Beppe Loda of the release ”Captain Future – Freinde Greife An” (the German soundtrack of a cartoon from the early ‘80s).

Tensnake - Coma Cat

Tensnake with his first full Ep for Permanent Vacation, and what a better this 12 inch is: The title track “Coma Cat” already caused mayhems on dancefloors from Berlin to Sydney. “Get It Rtght” and “Need Your Lovin” are equally good and show the full spectrum of the Tensnake universe between boogie, house and disco.

Mark Du Mosch – Cold Sweat EP [CD006]

Rotterdam’s legendary disco-house producer Mark Du Mosch presents his debut release for Cyber Dance Records in the shape of the Cold Sweat EP. Consisting of five outstanding tracks that take us from the near-italo disco bliss of Now Or Never to the classic Dutch lo-fi electro sounds of Revenger, on to the searing intensity of The System and the title track then rounded off beautifully with the deep chi-house vibes of Satical, this is not an EP to be missed. Already getting rotation plays on Intergalactic FM and called by Moustache label impresario David Vunk “one of the best techno records of the year”, we can’t speak highly enough of this totally rocking record.

Ben Rymer – La Trinciatrice [ARCO13]

disc

Serge Santiago’s Arcobaleno imprint ends 2009 with an excellent Italo inspired EP from Ben Rymer. Ben is ex of The Fat Truckers – you remember, they’re the Sheffield-based Brit electroclash band who wrote tracks about cheap motorbikes, import-export business and multiplex cinemas. He was also part of Gucci Soundsystem, who have released tunes on Bugged Out and DFA and who promoted the now legendary London club-night Druzzis. Most recently, Rymer has joined the Disco Bloodbath crew, London’s finest connoisseurs of only the best cosmic, disco music, and set up the Channel 83 imprint with fellow Bloodbather Damon Martin. Meanwhile, on this 12″ we have the “La Trinciarice” (meaning ‘The Shredder’). The ‘Main Mix’ is an epic, heavy yet cosmic journey into space. The ‘Dream Dub’ is a floating dream sequence with mid-way battle and an ending that slowly floats off…

Tiger & Woods – Caddy Shag [TAIN2]

TIGER & WOODS - Caddy Shag EP

The puzzling duo like Tiger & Woods is back. Shrouded in mystery! Again! No one knows where its coming from, no one knows where its going. Special Extended Disco Versions carefully tuned, remixed, over-dubbed, cut and sliced, housed-up and boggied-down – including a run-out-tool.

Soft Rocks – In The House [SRITH001]

Cover art - Soft Rocks: In The House

Soft Rocks finish their very productive year in the studio with 2 raw analog DJ friendly house cuts… “March Of The Dark And Light Brigade” is a rough acidic cut that builds, drops and builds again whilst “Tutsis Dance” is a slice of funky craziness with an old school house bass line that gets deep half way through and peaks with some sublime strings.

Bottin – Disco For The Devil [BFK042]

Hot on the heels of his well-received Horror Disco album Bottin delivers the strongest track and a solid remix package. UK based Nu-disco pioneers Faze Action deliver their second mix for Bearfunk and it’s a belter. The vocal becomes secondary as they go straight for the dancefloor jugular. Percussion, groove and rolling electric bass drive this floor-led outing.

Ajello – Hot July [MD004]

For the fourth release on Maxi Discs our Italian friends Ajello jump on board and deliver a red hot slice of feel good House music. Hot July reminds you just how important the piano driven Italian sound was in the development of House. Fusing disco elements with Italo influences, Ajello producers Luca Roccatagliati and Fabrizio Tavernelli have produced a dancefloor bomb that has been ripping up dancefloors worldwide. This is just irresistable dance music! On remix duties, label owner Pete Herbert strips the track down further, chunks it up with a killer bassline and adds a more UK House feel to it, which brings to mind seminal 90s house tracks like ‘Symphonic Tonic’. It’s a 100% dance floor groove. And finally, producer of the moment Marius drops a mighty version that blends his love of Euro and Italo sounds perfectly with a heavy NY House influence.

DJ Kaos – Kosmischer Ruckenwind [CLSS05]

Mr Kaos debut on Clone Loft Supreme (already counts releases on DFA & Rong under his belt) with the best and most mature one on this Clone series yet!! ”Kosmischer Ruckenwind” (or cosmic tailwind) is a magnificent piece of psychedelic kraut-inspired disco with trippy guitars and spaced out fx. Its sounds almost as if Manuel Göttsching, Pink Floyd and Kaos were jamming in the studio. Twelve minutes and not a minute too long. And if that weren’t enough there’s the ‘Rough Version’ on the flip that ups the original’s analog-ness to even higher levels. Timeless release.
