Mini-album releases featuring a collection of 5 tracks from the Sound Metaphors catalogue masterfully remixed by Anatolian Weapons. Sound Metaphors gives their keys of the label’s catalogue vaults to Aggelos Baltas aka Anatolian Weapons and this is the result. 5 tracks previously released on the labels now submitted to the studio prowess of the Greek machine. Dubbed out, tripped out, slowed down, sped up, mind blown. Aggelos brings his distinctive flavor to the table and re-constructs some of our dacefloor oriented favorites from the early 90’s.

Ricardo Baez draws on many influences. Electro, house, synth-pop and italo are pillars of the Italian artist’s unique style. The Florence based musician arrives at the Bordello with ‘On and On’. Featuring Curses, the opener is a floor-filler. Known for his EBM-stained wave works, this vocal mix is a late night Summer romp. Crisp percussion and warm bass lines usher in addictive hooks and throaty vocals from Luca Venezia. The original version follows. Lyrics are stripped back allowing the upbeat synth play to take the limelight. Cascading notes announce the flip. “Sfida Notturna” is built on delicate drum patterns and arc of string before breaking to a heady dawn. “Dietro L’orizzonte” brings the curtain down. Toms and cinematic synthlines introduce rasping rhythms and vocoder samples. The piece is perfectly measured, fragile keys ascend next cymbal crashes and computer voice. Sumptuous sounds from the north of Italy.

2023 official repress of the EP originally released in 2015 by the Swiss/German production team “Jack Pattern”. Electronic music with italo-disco influences at the highest level.

Marking the 10-year anniversary of Chicago legend K’ Alexi Shelby’s grooved out, vocal laden house bumper ”The Dancer”, with a reissue that shines a light on four standout remixes from four true greats, Ron Trent, Ian Pooley, Glenn Underground and Grand High Priest.

Alley Version presents the third installment of the series ‘Tracks From The Alley’, a V.A. 4-tracker compilation, kicking off with a new track by the Japanese machines wizard Takeshi Kouzuki, ‘PaganParadise’, where Chicago style acidelic beats meets immersive gloomy pads and tiny dripping melodies. The Italian duo FLML complete the A side with ‘Analog Jerky Thing’, a tape recorded jam driven by a hypnotic proto-acid style touching bassline. Greek cult producer DimDj open the B side with the intricate ‘Apo Pou Eisai’, a track made of rarefied jack-beats into dub echoes, mutating in acid attacks. Closes the e.p. Chris Mitchell, U.S. based producer-DJ and label boss of Feral Colony, with ‘Tru1’, a raw impact complex textured acid-techno track.

Amsterdam based musician/producer Djosa (long time band member of Arp Frique & The Family) joins the Rush Hour Store Jams imprint with two uplifting songs. The legendary Ronald Snijders is featured on ”Vampiro” with whom he (together with Arp Frique) made the documentary Easy Man and the album The Nelson & Djosa Sessions.

Klasse Wrecks’ Grafiti Tapes series continues on at its own pace with a new release from Antwerp based graffiti writer, tattoo artist and musician Redray. Aside from being active in the Belgium scene in the late 2000s, Redray is also enjoying great success as a tattoo artist, having co-founded Brabo’s Hand Tattoo in the center of Antwerp. For GT13 Redray turns in a charming 6 track mini-album, with all individual songs are produced by a limited pallet of sonic tools. A tried and tested combination of vocoder, 808 drum machine, keys and screwed samples of old funk and soul records provide the solid foundations. Comfortably sat in-between the genres of G-Funk and Screwed + Chopped Rap, Redray elevates the beats with catchy vocal hooks sung through a Roland SVC-350 vocoder. The result is some of the sleaziest and greasiest sauce to ever adorn a Grafiti Tape.

This is a Wetland Sailor aka Kiwisubzorus aka LostSoundBytes free album from 2015, released by French label Consternation.

Stefan Schwander better known as Harmonious Thelonious is a mainstay of DISK. The Metro Tribe Ep delivers: 3 deep club bangers of trancecending quality. Two of which are also featured in alternative versions – ancient MAXI-style – to suit Selectors needs. Every of those 5 tracks are relentlessly drawing the listeners into loosing themselves into dance, demanding the immediate dissolution of your ego in order to open your mind to the perception of rhythms and sounds echoing imaginary cultural traditions of somewhere far out.

Amsterdam and Naples based bassist Daniel Monaco (bass player for Nu Genea, Mystic Jungle & Capinera) joins the Rush Hour Store Jams imprint. A strong disco heavy two tracker featuring vocals from Mame N’Diack Seck Thiam and a wink to Cerrone, including instrumental versions. Released in conjunction with Utopia records London.
