The sound of now! Balearic fusion future classic.

‘Mornin’ is a radical discoid track built with alien hoover pads and synthetic stabs that is both fresh and euphoric. ‘Clean Sunrise’ has deep feelings for South African shores and gentle Rhodes harmonies. ‘Mannam’ is a triumphant little number whilst ‘Capasa’ is a 6 min long improvised recording locked down in one take.

ASOK joins the Lobster fam proper, blasting down from the icy territories and bringing the cold winds of UK rave of yore to the front of the queue. “Universe 3” is a glistening, glacially slow-moving ambient piece that shimmers and folds through the spectrum, with small sparkles and hints of twinkling optimism peppered into it’s spacial framework. “Track Four” is a crunchy, scourged techno drum heater that bangs the drum of enchantment whilst raising the spirits of long-long civilisations through spiritual pads and alien synth work. Title track “Virtual Light” kicks off the flip. Built around a core of stolid deep house, but drawing on a solid template of NY house and central German deepness. Proper hazy, aquatic vibes into the dark depths. Lastly, and easily the artist and label fave, “I Mean You No Harm” arrives as a subtle reminder of the simplicity needed to conjure the heaviest moments. Essentially an enormous hardcore number just minus any form of breaks and stripped to the core. Nagging sirens and pitched wails sound off into the night air.

Four deejay wmds beaming in from Osaka: weird, unsettling disco-funk, guaranteed to rock the house. Kanwaza crosses ethnic roots and disco; Cross Calf Dance jacks up the quirkiness; Stormy Weather and Water lock down the after-hours crew.

Late night phone-calls, lonely connections & aviating trance. straight from our isle to your alley.

Idle Hands presents the first 12″ of 2017 from Lerosa, a four-tracker beamed across the Irish Sea to Bristol. The ‘Subcouture’ EP sees the esteemed producer operating at the intersection of dubby electro and deep house, taking in the sub-heavy frequencies Bristol is known for, whilst retaining an agile and sleek simplicity. ‘Maryelen’ is a tight, yet pastoral electro track where dreamy pads contrast against tough, cutting drum programming. ‘Line Bass’ is a tumbling and bouncy number, that doffs its cap to reggae disco and features vibrant synths peppering the mix. ‘Scruffy’ takes on a slower and more playful mood, featuring light licks of acid and off kilter keys. ‘Subcouture’ is a subtle dubbed out house cut with a hint of shuffle.

The latest offering from US-based imprint Secret Studio Records will arrive courtesy of Circling Vultures, a project fronted by Chicago natives Justin Long (Hugo Ball), and Ken Zawacki (Dar Embarks). Circling Vultures’ sound is rooted in the hedonistic Midwestern rave scene of the ’90s, formed over a long history traversing the hedonistic spaces of that time—it’s a hardware-driven sound with a DIY punk ethos.

Marvin and Guy’s Equation series has a deliciously simple premise. All the djs and producers around have one secret weapon to play at least. This series is the Equation who join together very special edits from very special artists. It will be out in three volumes in different colours.

Young Dutch producer Cris Kuhlen releases his debut EP under the name Dazion, with 4 productions featuring the vocals of Ebu Gaye Mada and Ljubiša Arsenovic (Paya). Afro influenced grooves on A side cut “Be A Man” while the afro vocals continue on B side offering “Dancing In The future” but musically it is ’80s style Balearica, while”Rigola” is a lo-slung synhthpop ditty.

Magnesii delivers a playful blend of house, electro and tropicana for Raw Tools. The title track, ‘Fata Oasa’ is a melodic, lo-fi delight, full of exotic flavours, whilst ‘Building Ultrabot’ shifts to a different spectrum of sounds, with chunky basslines and heart-warming pads. On the flip side, ‘Euphoric 660’, is a haunting house jam with low-pitched vocal samples and sharp percussions. The B-side gets a special 909-led muscle boost by Antenna, known for his dark, but emotional sound.

Unknown To The Unknown bring in the new year with Realitycheck’s debut EP for the label – 4 incredible spazzed out tech houz jamz for the deeper listener.

Marcello Napoletano mind must have been on a thin line between genius and madness when producing this sick EP. 5 nasty soulful tracks full of energy and FunKyNeSs. He definitvely continues to transport the old spirit of Moto Music.

London-born producer Colin Lindo aka Nubian Mindz is not your average predictable artist. Generally speaking, the music is deep and rich, yet very direct and club ready, but with plenty of those unpredictable moments which made us go crazy for these tracks in the first place.

Sound Carrier label steps back into the limelight to hit us with another fix of quality techno from monsieur Chris Carrier. The Parisian producer presents three new extraterrestrial cuts.

Continuing with force into our 10 year anniversary celebration comes the second 12′ swiftly after the first. With such a consistent stream of inspiring creativity flowing our direction we have no choice but to keep up the pace. Thema 46 was hatched from someone so deeply ingrained in the underground that he barely needs an introduction. DJ Spider has been a mainstay on the murkiest, most disorderly dance floors for years. His sound is characterized by disjointed elements lurching around in a off-kilter yet magnetic way that forces you to move in ways you didn’t know you could. From the hell scorched, pitch bent echoes of ‘The Final Revolution’ to the lo-fi groove antics of ‘Distress Signal’, DJ Spider proves once again that no one can do it as perfectly weird as he can.”

Börft Records presents a collaboration between Luke Eargoggle & Villa Abo. That means Electro meets slammin techno & house as well as a little cutie in the end.
